I agree. Hairless and fresh and clean go hand in hand in my books. On both men and women. Oddly I think pubic hair on women often looks sexy, but if I'm going in closer I prefer everything nice and smooth.

Sorry, but you've been conned by the big conglomerates who make shaving materials, deodorants, antiperspirants, etc. They want you to buy their unnecessary products to boost their profits.

Actually, hair doesn't trap odours, it merely radiates odours that are already there. You don't smell because you have hair, underarm or pubic; you only smell if you have BO and you will only get that if you do not shower or bath often enough. How often is enough depends on your lifestyle. A largely sedentary person may only need to shower once, twice or three times a week at most, someone who is very active or sweats a lot once a day. (The hands aside, showering or washing too often can be harmful to the skin.)

So, you can get rid of all your hair but it won't stop you smelling. Indeed, body hair helps to regulate the body's temperature, keeping you cooler in hot weather and reducing the likelihood of sweating as well as helping to dissipate sweat in much the same way that breathable fabrics do. (Isn't it amazing, people spend a fortune on those very expensive breathable fabric jackets but then remove the body's own natural breathable fabric.) So, if you shave off your hair you are more likely to smell unpleasant.

Of course, not all body odours are unpleasant. Hair helps to transmit the natural hormones that tell other people that you fancy them. If the only difference between you and your friend is that you shave and your friend doesn't, your friend will pull the guy or girl every time.

I have no problem with anyone who wants to shave - just don't try to justify it by saying that you're doing it for reasons of hygiene and cleanliness, unless you happen to suffer from BO or pubic lice. It's a fashion, nothing more.
