A thread on a hockey discussion board today got me thinking. Someone posted a message saying PK Subban (a black hockey player for the Montreal Canadiens) was a "disgrace to humanity." The post said nothing about Subban's race in any way. Suddenly multiple self-appointed "racism fighters" immediately joined the thread condemning the original poster, calling him/her "racist," making snide comments attacking the poster's intelligence, sarcastic mean comments of various nature, etc. The usual for the internet. All without any evidence of any kind the comment even had anything to with Subban's race.

It got me to thinking about the mentality of the self-appointed "anti-racists" (self-appointed against white supposed "racism" of course, they don't normally care about racism against whites). It became clear to me long ago that most self-appointed militant "anti-"racists"" (particularly white ones, blacks are just standing up for their own group for the most part whether justified or not) are simply the contemporary version of self-righteous judgementalists. They don't even need to wait for facts, don't respond with any kind of proportionality to the alleged offense, and more or less completely dehumanize anyone they decide is guilty of this purported "racism" with or without any real evidence of it.

We don't burn witches at the stake, we don't judge people for sexual sins anymore, we don't "tisk tisk" at the divorced or the cohabitating or single mothers, we don't beat up homosexuals. So what's left for the self-righteous personality type to do? Well, there's always "racism" and "racists" who are the new "scum" we can beat up on and ostracize.

If you think about it, its the same thing just a different socially unpopular group to attack to make insecure people feel morally superior and like they are making society better without actually doing a damn thing to improve it.

yeah i'm gonna go ahead and say there have been about 100 times more people beaten assaulted and killed for being gay or transgender than there have been innocently victimized racists.

in fact, there have been about 100 times more people SHOT BECAUSE THEY WERE BLACK than there have been INNOCENTLY VICTIMIZED RACISTS.

Liberals are the most self-righteous people of all. They have to make up imaginary "sins" to attack others for and prove their own "moral superiority" primarily because they don't have any real morality.

There are a few "exhibit A" posters like that on this very board (or at least imaginary alts).

I remember being at a house party when I was a teenager and having a discussion over a few beers with a couple of friends. I think one was an Iranian-American and the other was half Hispanic, as a matter of fact.

I was saying that whites should start colonies in Antarctica to ensure their preservation. Whites could create a White Israel in Antarctica similar to the way Jews colonized Palestine. They could build giant greenhouses and put farms and settlements in them, and nobody could have a moral objection because no other group of people would be displaced or anything. Why would anyone have a problem with it? Would be win-win for everyone and ensure whites would survive. This was a private hypothetical discussion over a few beers between consenting adults.

Some self-righteous preppie type guy in a sweater over heard the conversation and got enraged at me. He said I should be beaten up or worse. We all told him to go pound sand. So, anyway, a little while later, a friend of mine comes over and says the sweater guy was trying to organize a group of people to jump me after the party and kick my ass. Too bad for sweater guy but most everyone there liked me, thought I was a bit nuts maybe, but funny. So, we organized a counter attack. They all went with sweater guy and pretended like they were going to jump me but when I came out we beat up sweater guy instead. Never saw him around at any of the parties after that, lol.

The moral of the story, don't threaten people who hypothetically discuss building giant greenhouses in Antarctica.
