Curious; How might a cheating wife react?

Of all the scenarios out there I've yet to find one factual or fictional where a couple engages in a polyamory, swinging, cuckolding, etc. activity. Stop and continue together. Because it can't.

I disagree. I can personally attest to two couples who opened and then closed their partnerships, and stayed together long-term, even unto death. I know because I'm the one they invited to live with them. I left later of my own accord, which didn't involve jealousy, only relocation.

In other cases the openness may be more symptom than cause of relationship failure. My first marriage was young, stupid, disastrous. After we stopped trying to appear faithful, the cliché: spouse ends up with best friend. And they've remained together for four decades. Go figure.

Interesting. I'll try to search for "couple experiments with open relationships" and see how that goes.

Looked up open relationships. Saw all the benefits etc. Nothing about stopping them only one story where a couple did stop though only because the rules were broken. The wife's partner wasn't wearing protection and did not pull out. She stopped husband continued. After arguing and fighting he stopped.

So there's another I suppose.

Other than that people are encouraging open relationships. Eventually the spouse can't offer what is needed sexually so instead of having an affair here's a bunch of things to do to spice up the sex life that doesn't involve your partner.

There were several things about how to stop jealousy though. But nothing else.

So most theories still hold true and have some accuracy.

I've been married 42 plus years to the same woman.

I recognized, early, that women all come from the factory with major flaws, and trading wives doesn't make life much better, on the whole. I read it somewhere: one has a fat ass and another has a fat mouth. Its always something.
