You're brave. I made mine put a wad of wax on it until we could get him to the ortho.

I was afraid if I cut it, he would swallow the piece I cut. And, you know, I paid five fucking grand cash for the braces. Those asshole doctors can fix him up.

That was my thought as well. It offending part of the wire is way in the back, and the doc told me to try cutting it in the front and pulling it through. I really though the clippers would cut through and the hard part would be pulling it out.

I could not get the wax to work. Thankfully, she slept fine after I gave her an aspirin.
