San Bernadino

I strongly doubt that there has ever been a "good" thread in GB history where busybody and AJ have combined for 196 posts.

Seriously though, the thread served its purpose when it was about breaking news. I haven't read much of it since Wednesday night (busy), but I don't have to have read it to know it's been one big end zone dance by the RWCJ.

Usually their pattern is a long morning piss followed by a short afternoon tinkle and then maybe a brief evening shitter. This time it was almost a 24-hour-long non-stop colon cleansing.

Ultimately many of us (at the very least the only people in the world who matter right now, Barrack Obama and the other world leaders in the coalition) believe the collateral for that would be to high and that's assuming it doesn't make the problem worse which I believe it would.

The hate that hate produced will last for generations to come no matter what we do. At best we might trim some edges, but it's basically a fait accompli fucked. Hell, we're still dealing with this country's grudging coming to terms with its firmament legacy of slavery and genocide. The rest of the world? Bwahahahahaha. Fuhgeddaboutit.

I used to think that maaaaaybe we'd get to the beginnings of a Star Trek-level of basic world cooperation by the time I hit seventy-five, but I dunno anymore. The aliens can come swoop down from the Delta Quadrant and take this miserable planet anytime they feel like it, it'll be a good change of pace.

Well I've no clue how old you are to know if it'll happen before 75. I think we've got a few last major hurdles left and then a bunch of petty bullshit that may never end. I mean I'm a Californian, we're fair weather fans at best but my family is from Cleveland. That whole Browns, Steelers, Raven's shit? You'd think someone was killed or something.

And a lot can change very quickly.

Having said that I'm still firmly in the camp of 'sure it's fucked but I don't need to make it worse.' I just get to take a certain solace in the fact that I didn't start the fucking fire.

If this is your thought about America, you paint it much darker than it is. ISIS may hate America, most muslims don't. Most Russians don't. Germans turned from haters to cheerers in an instant when Obama occured. The world loves America. The world WANTS to love America if possible.

What "we" all don't do is standing rooted in awe because America. We did when cars were looking like this, but now, they look like this, and we think we can do better, and not only cars, we reach the stage when we even believe to do better politics.

At the moment, Europe isn't forced into deep responsibility, and we're happy for any American support. But if America decides to "hedgehog in", and we have to play their role in the world, and we succeed - this is something even I don't like. Because superpowers become arrogant at one point, and pretend their shit must be gold. And then, love turns into denial, and sometimes into hate. Today's Germany is liked in the world - but we're aware how easy this can change when we're into responsibility. We saw this in the Greece crisis.

This is why Germany voted yes to helping in Syria - but only in a non-combatant supporting role.
It may change in the future, but I suspect it will take a major direct terrorist attack in Germany for it even to be considered.

I don't think so. Germany has no real military since WWII, and the military we have already participates in the fight against ISIS. Ground troops is a no-go for us, as it is for Americans.

We've got a real war unwilling majority. Not necessarily fear of dying, more fear of killing. Fear of deterioration of the circumstances that's already bad enough. We won't do America's mistakes. We did them in WWII.

Malik came to the U.S. on what is known as a “fiancé” visa, which allows an American fiancé to petition for his or her partner’s temporary entry before marriage. For the visa application, the address she listed in her Pakistani hometown, ABC News discovered today, does not exist. Malik received a her Green Card this summer, U.S. officials said.
WTF? My wife is English and they did a more thorough check on her fiancé visa than someone from Pakistan.

Don't even start!
My sister is in the States, too. I decided to visit her at one point, when I was in NZ (before the ESTA came into place).
I had a bit of a glitch in my past aka about 8 years before - I overstayed by 1 day! (a gaffe on my part, I got the dates wrong, luckily I was reminded by a friend the next day ).

When I applied for a visa for the States at the american consullate in NZ : no problem. They understood the issue + the legal timeframe of 4 years after such an incident had expired.
- But : they kept me for 3 hours!!! in the transit area at LAX, to check my credibility (phone calls to NZ). Even though nothing about me screamed potential immigrant or terrorist.

No wonder that they miss the real terorrists who get in, if they waste their resources on such things.

Most agencies scrutinize peasants and kowtow to princes. If you have enough money for a lawyer they leave you alone. Almost all terrorists are/were princes with money.

This thread was pretty good until it turned into a pissing contest .

Actually, about pages 23 or 24, I posted some highly relevant information.

Did you see it?

Tom would not answer the question because he suspected that it was a slam-dunk, but Allea (sp?) answered it for him and then I gave the real 411...

Because none of them have hospitals.

ok

I laughed. I am a very bad man...

But no, not the right answer, they have plenty of hospital protected by the Red Crescent. That's where they store weapons. Same with their Mosques.

The only pissing I saw was Pooping Tom and Shawn Ray-nod wetting themselves trying to defend the indefensible. Their zippers must be rusted shut by now.

You think what haven't worked in Vietnam, may work now in Syria?

The reason it did not work in Vietnam is the same reason it won't work here.

The American leadership refused to bomb Hanoi back into the Stone Age.

Of course, if you bomb ISIS back into the Stone Age, would they actually even notice?

In your country, we even took out Dresden. Good riddance! :p

First I'd give the Kurdish fighters all the weapons they asked for.

From what I gather a majority of the fighters are in the cities as well as pretty much all their leadership.

So yeah, hit all 3 cities at once HARD. Like we did Germany & Japan during WW2. Then the Kurdish fighters can roll in and mop up the scum that are left
with a bit of air support.

Edit: Syria is not Vietnam. Things were bad enough with Iraq & Afghanistan. Obama made a worst mess out of the ME by repeating Bush's mistake. I guess he thought he was mimicking Lincoln, only he was emancipating the ME. Should have kept his nose out of Syria.

I agree, the problem is that they will, eventually turn those weapons on our NATO "ally."

It is the same reason that the Biden plan to partition Iraq would not have worked, because the Kurds want to erase lines over three nations and carve out a new nation of their own.

In most ways my sympathies are with them, but it would involve and escalation of the war, the violence and the refugees...

Most of them, who are ill-equipped culturally and mentally to adapt to the Western Culture and more than the Crusaders were able to even tolerate the cultural remnants of the Eastern Orthodox Roman Empire...

Like Islam does now, they took out the "heretics" too in the long run.

We won the Vietnam War, but the Democraps in Congress defunded South Vietnam. They do a good job of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

From the tenor of Tom's posts, when Deutschland is attacked, America will be blamed.

And Israel...

Sorry, AJ, but these posts really cracked me up.:D
Your justification (not me) followed by St. Pete's pic.,
combined with the fact that you posted 5 in a row, just like you tend to do on the board, too.

The same strategy created the opportunity for ISIS to metastasize, but President Obama has already spiked the ball and declared victory. After all, when he personally killed Osama, then al Qaeda was finished. Never you mind that ISIS was the part of al Qaeda that was too violent for the "moderate" radicals who killed 3,000 of our citizens (and citizens from all over the world) on 9-11.
