In 2014 there were 444 justifiable homicides attributable to law enforcement. So that's what, 1.3/day?

There were 277 justifiable homicides attributable to private citizens in the same year.

Executed criminals have Homicide as cause of death on certificate. It can be lawful. Premeditated but lawful (at some level of law)
