Clearly whoever did this had some personal connection with the facility. They obviously knew where they were going and who was going to be where in the facility. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense.

What's interesting is that if you wanted to take a hit out on somebody the perfect cover would be to stage one of these incidents. You could obfuscate the actual target among numerous other victims.

My guess is organized crime, drug syndicate, or a personal vendetta of some sort possibly via hired assassins.

But how did he/she convince another one or two accomplices to join in the attack? Must some loyal friends if they are willing to basically throw their lives with no hesitation when a buddy asks them to help with something like this.

That's why it would make sense it could be gang related. Gang loyalty or hierarchy would demand compliance when asked. The Inland Empire is crawling with gangs. Its a diverse "working class" residential area for the most part with a lot of youth delinquency.
