Has anyone ever herd of 'Grammarly?' I just found about it today and may try it myself after some research. It appears to be free.

From what i've researched about 'Grammarly,' there are two features, you can attach it to your web browser to edit entries to all websites like Gmail facebook or even here I think. Or you can go on there website and edit finished documents by pasting text into an enhanced editor.

I've been using it for four or five months and very pleased with it.

The free version doesn't cover whatever word processing program you use, but when you c&p your stories into the Lit submission form, it will check everything there.

It's also great for helping you break certain bad habits such as misuse (or non-use) of commas, dealing with semi-colons, hyphenation, and my main nemesis of being fixated with ellipses. Also, the spell check is probably the most extensive and all-encompassing I've ever seen.

I've talked to a few people that have opted in for the paid program and they seem very happy with what all they get extra with it.

If nothing else, it's worth having it just to make your posts here in the AH look perfect. ;)

What do you mean when you write "Lit submission form?"

Do you mean 'Grammarly" will edit in there but not in 'MS word?'
I think the free version might allow for a cut and paste into their website, the 'docs' section. I just edited this in there. I haven't attached it to my browser yet, I'm still suspicious of it.

It will edit in Word now, they did an update about two months back that added it.

What are you suspicious of?
