that got me to thinking about expressions that we don't use anymore.. and that some people may not even be able to reference.
You should start that thread.
And then I'll tell 2 friends
and so on

Themes? Well...Christmas is one. My most favorite and least favorite Christmas songs are on this list. Can you guess them? And a new Chanakah song from Adam Sandler. I have to play Black Friday by the Dan. There are 4 songs that are about 4 famous people. Can you guess the songs and who they’re about?

Three refugee songs. Including one with this famous lyric:
Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor I'll piss on 'em
That's what the Statue of Bigotry says
Your poor huddled masses
Let's club 'em to death
And get it over with and just dump 'em on the boulevard

  1. That would be Lou Reed- Dirty Boulevard. great song, great musician.

We have a refugee song from the Forgotten Rebels, Bomb the Boats. No one wanted the Vietnamese back in 80's, no one wanted Cubans and no one wants Syrians now.
Sad state the world is in when we take possession over land that isn't ours and force people to leave with no where to go. Best to just stop fighting and give it back to them, like that will happen.

  1. i'll see if I can find that one.

    I totally agree, bro.

Former neighbours of mine were Afghani and fled after the failed Russian take over and the Taliban took power. They crossed hundreds of miles to Pakistan and made their way here. Lovely people and not hard to get along with at all. It was great seeing them make their way and adapt to Canadian life, laughing when they couldn't understand things and explaining why, only to see them laugh at themselves for not figuring it out.

I love that I can walk down any street here and meet someone from pretty well any where in the world. We celebrate everyone's culture every year with a big weekend festival spread all over the city. Some might be fighting in their homelands, but they're partying and enjoying themselves together here.

All this misery around the world, because we couldn't accept the Grinch for who he was and appreciate him, instead of change him. Dr Suess knew what to do. ;)

I think #1 is the least favorite, and #31, John Lennon is most favorite. Final Answer.

Famous People Songs:

1. Carly Simon - Warren Beatty they say
not sure about the others, but I'll guess the 'you ought to know' song. She sounds awful bitter there. 'Dude looks like a lady', and 'you give love a bad name'.

*Rolls eyes *
The pouges...
One song I wish never existed

"Driving Home For Christmas"- Chris Rea should be on there IMO

"Dude Looks Like a Lady" is supposedly about Vince Neil in Motley Crue, I believe. I think I remember that from The Heroin Diaries.

And the Alanis song is about Uncle Joey from Full House. Who would've ever thought that guy could inspire any sort of passionate emotion? Cut. It. Out.
