However, I am not at all a fan of the current trend toward platform heels (I think that is what they are called); sometimes called stripper hells. Those heels shoes which are like 6" high but have a 2" lift in the front. You alsays see them on those morons - aka the Kardasian sisters.

For me the heels have to be elegant, definitely not the platform "porn star" type and certainly nothing with prospect heels - they're hideous in my view.

I love wearing heels for the reasons you have described plus the way it extends my legs and the fact that it is an overt expression of confidence in my own beauty and sexuality.

However, all that is driven by the difference between my toe and heel height. I have never quite gotten the appeal of the platform variation. It does nothing for my posture or look and makes walking more awkward and more frankenstein like.
