Should political subjects be posted in general boards?

Should forum boards be used as titled? Is it okay to post political threads in general boards? As politics can be quite messy at times, should discussion be limited to the correct board as set up by mods and owners?

Of course they should. GB needs variety. It would be so boring with only one type of thread (erotic or entertainment).
And I think that's where you guys fall short. (despite the excellent content). If you'd have a bit more variety (other than just US politics or elections) you'd have so many interested posters… Best example being Your threads, Hard Rom: they attracted posters from other boards.

As to politics becoming messy… I don't find that's the case as much in the GB. There are, indeed, a few posters who display a pattern of "getting at" the posters that they don't like. But the other fights or "name calling"? They're just in the moment. People swear at each other, but it's forgotten, the next day; they don't bear grudges.

Laurel said that politics is permissible on the GB, but she set up this board to get politics isolated and keep the idiots and perverts out.

I don't think it worked that way but JBJ/Noir doesn't pollute the AH anymore, well as much as he used to.

It has made the political topics more of a discussion than, all *&** Ni**** and with NEM on iggy it's nicer.
