Although the makers argue otherwise, I think they lose heat quickly.

We are kind of keeping an eye out for a reclaimed marble tub for our master bathroom, if not something else would do, we just haven't seen 'it' yet.

I'm not very concerned about the upkeep on an antique tub. I prefer a natural patina. I do not polish the copper cookware that I have.

I've dealt with the green scum from a hot bath that had uncoated copper in it. It really won't hurt you, but it's not that pleasant to look at. A shower was required after a bath. Having that experience, we're going with acrylic.

Unless one falls into a deal, antique tubs are few and far between up this way, and expensive.
