I need an editor for my first story. Here are the details:

- 55 pgs
- approx. 23,000 words
- THEMES: first time, voyeurism, masturbation, inexperienced vs. experienced

*I"m looking for some serious help editing here. My submission was rejected and I would like a serious editor to take a look and give me advice. If you're just looking to PM me to flirt or whatever else please don't, just need some help with my writing."

Thanks :)

If you post a link in the story feedback section I will take a look at some of it. I'm not an editor but I can give you some general feedback while you wait for an editor.

The OP is asking for help with a rejected story, which means there isn't a link.

Good luck finding someone to help you!

Stories get rejected for breaking site rules (like including underage sex or bestiality) or lack of attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation. In your case, it's likely the latter. You can PM Laurel to ask her why your story was rejected.

You could send me the first thousand words of your story, and I could tell you what's wrong with it, if you're willing to hear that. I like to edit writers who want to become better writers.

Many come to this forum wanting editors to do the boring stuff of correcting spelling mistakes and putting punctuation in the right places. We do that for our writers, but only if they're willing to try to get it right in the first place.

At the moment, I imagine most editors are looking at your plea and thinking: I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. On the face of it, you're offering someone 23,000 words of badly written text (as we guess that's the reason it was rejected). A little up-front acknowledgement of the shortcomings of your draft helps, as it shows you understand the problem and are willing to work to correct it.

A rejected story will have the reason with it, often stated in the form of a question.

New Author looking for help

Apologies I inadvertantly posted in the wrong place.
