I'm probably the most unaware guy here on Lit. I wouldn't recognize an alt unless they shouted it from the rooftops. I don't have a clue which members are a couple, this month, unless they're practically doing it in a thread. I've maybe post-stalked a half dozen people to learn about them. I know there's always two sides to a story; and don't give rumor much credit.

I'm the happy idiot. I only really consider how someone treats me, not their past. I just try to keep my eyes open about people. I think I've only been played once, and I walked right into it, so I guess my method works well for me.

Of course I shall. What is it about your favorite Litster you wouldn't want them to ever lose? Is that trait something you don't have in RL, maybe that's why they're your favorite. How similar/different are the traits of your favorite Litster when compared to your favorite RL person (not including your partner)?

The very definition of the word favorite states one. I have two favorite Litsters and surprisingly enough, they are TWO of the most different people that you can imagine. Perhaps they reflect the complexity that is me? I don't know, I'm still pondering that dichotomy. I believe that people are complex and you don't have just one soulmate.

I wouldn't be happy if they both lost what I am drawn to about them. I have always stated that I do not see a difference between RL and online, it's just a medium in which I relate and communicate with them.

The friends that I spend time with in my life outside of Lit is as diverse as can be. So I guess, it's all the same to me.

I met a delightfully perverted man on a pretty downmarket adult chat site (we can pretend that I, too, was searching for classic literature when I stumbled across that little beaut). Anyway, he sent me a link to some of the stories here. A few months later, I stumbled onto the boards. Three accounts later (two that I'd like to forget about and then my current incarnation) and here I am.

I like the people. Mostly. Don't get me wrong, some of you are pretty weird (and the Brits are mainly cunts) - but I like it.

I perused the forums a bit before I decided hat you fuckers needed my wisdom and my words of encouragement. So, I joined. Oddly, these days, my time here is more about interacting with friends I've made rather than classic literature and wanking. There are truly some wonderful people here that I've enjoyed getting to know and they're people I would genuinely call friends, despite their rapey fantasies and the like.

I arrived here on the suggestion of a platonic female friend, who outed herself as part of the BDSM community after I confided to her some of the fantasies that I was having. At that time, I felt very much ashamed of my thoughts (even though I now understand them to be commonplace and far from extreme) and I was convinced that my wife would be horrified by them. It took another five years for the delicious irony of this situation to become evident (and very happily so!). During that time, I explored further my own feelings, took a lot of advice and made some good friends (many of whom are sadly no longer around on Lit).

I've never felt like a central part of the Lit community, so I've tended to come and go from the forums as the mood has taken me. Often, I feel as if I don't have much to say, or that I'll just be ignored or drowned out. Recently, though, Lit has taken on a new role for me: as a meeting point for a small subset of Litsters with whom my wife and I have been interacting in real life. I certainly didn't expect that to happen when I first arrived here!
