When any new member joins a forum,it is customary to give the more opinionated ones an 'initiation ceremony'. I had no problem with the one I received when I first posted ,it was right and proper lol. When the 'hard core' members of the forum have done that,it is beholden on said Noobie to respond by seeing which buttons are easiest to press and what the reaction might be. It is the quickest way for the Noobie to get a feel for who the characters are and how the forum works in terms of the dynamics.
The thread about the Halloween hangovers was the 'Trojan Horse',something chosen at random so I could 'complain' about a thread going off-topic. One might question whether it was credible that I cared for even a second about who had a hangover or not,but posters seemed to think that I might,so I guess it 'worked'.
Choosing the thread to follow the Trojan Horse, was easy. A newbie DISCUSSING the moderation of a forum, will always work on pretty much every forum in the world lol.You will note, those who read the thread carefully,I never once criticised the moderation on here, seems to work just fine,in truth, I merely invited members to discuss it as the thread itself will testify :-

So there you have it.A newbie response to an initiation ceremony. I posted every single word with a smile and I hope none of you got too hot under the collar about it. I doubt I offended anybody either,if I inadvertently did, then I apologise.
As for the moderation on this forum, truth is it works pretty much spot on from what I have seen so far,and I am sure they rarely get the thanks that they deserve. Must be a thankless task sometimes, tbh. If a toy ain't broken don't fix it,particularly if it is about to be used in a sexual act,of course.
So there you have it, the end of a Noobs response to their initiation. Hopefully one or two will read back on the two threads with a smile, armed with that new knowledge. At this point it is common for a bit of abuse to be thrown back from those who still haven't 'got it', you are of course entitled to do so,but it is water off a ducks back lol.
Hope to hang around these parts for a while yet,now my Noobie response is over. Look forward to interacting with you all.
