my favorite thing to do when going to a city is getting lost in a museum. that and eating food i can not find near me.

Me too. I love looking at old stuff and going back in time. My faves are the Witch Museum in Pendle, Lancashire and the Bronte Museum in Yorkshire. Standing in there in their house in their parlour, imagining Wuthering Heights being written at that desk etc. Sorta blows me tiny mind.

And a good tea room for fattening cakes and scones is a MUST. Or else you can shove your fucking culture. ;)

Neci was kind enough to message me with museums near my locale.

I say all three of you chicas come visit and let's hit them all.

This is where we went for lunch in between Lawrence stuff and the antiques centre.

I don't normally choose banoffee but this beast was industrial. Really thick caramel and nestled in the cream and bananas was a mini Dime Bar. I think I squirted.

Not heard about Boris!

No, its a type of soap/washing powder they used years ago to make their whites whiter. In the washing room of the Lawrence place they had some, an old mangle, washboard etc. Was really interesting. But my mate can remember her mum using it, I can't though apparently she did, and I wondered if you remembered it from childhood.

It's actually the same thing, old ladies used it to take the yellowish tones out of grey hair. The blue is what makes the whites appear whiter.
