I said oooo and kinda judgey. It was a joke. I swear there are people with senses of humor in the world and some days I find them.

I flit about AmPics, Personals/Playground, and the GEEB, spreading cheer and good tidings wherever I go.

I drop little bits of snark, make dumb jokes at my own expense here and there, and when in doubt, nothing I say should be taken seriously. I call people out on what I perceive to be their stupidity if the mood strikes, which is happening more and more frequently. I sometimes give sincere advice if it seems that the person genuinely wants it, but it tends to be of the "harsh truth" variety. Occasionally I'll get into a debate over social issues. Basically, I say whatever pops into my head and I don't filter it; because my real life involves a lot of tongue-biting, Lit is my outlet.

I have to agree with your pov. In my case, it was immigration, first and Lit after that.
Because, ironically, as an immigrant, the v. few times that I encountered xenophobic attitudes - these attitudes came mostly from those who made noise about those issues, and talked the "I am so for embracing difference etc." talk.

((Stressing, however, that this happened only in the beginning, given that my first job was in a smaller, more provincial city known for such attitudes. Once I moved to bigger cities - big shift and most people that I encountered were nice and open-minded.))

Media portrayals tend toward the stereotypical and inflammatory.

Not that ugly people don't exist, they do or the stereotypes wouldn't have any power, but that there is a silent majority of decent human beings that far outweigh the loud minority.

I initially thought that you implied that I was discriminated against because I was ugly, :D
but then I realised that you meant that the xenophobes, bigots etc. are ugly inside.
 
Well, that escalated quickly....


As for me... When I am feeling low, (and I can feel very low indeed) I write. And the lit community has, on the whole been very complimentary about my writing. So Literotica provides me with a reminder that there are at least one or two things I can do well.
