Hey ya'll! I've got a question - if I wanted to resubmit my already approved/published story after corrections have been made, is that possible? Would it just replace the one that's currently there? Would it start all over on views and votes and all, or keep what's there? I don't care either way.

I know, I know. Lesson learned. I should have reread it that tenth time to make sure it was perfect, and I'm certainly not going to claim it'll pass the most rigorous inspection by a grammar nazi now, but I know it's better.

Anyway, thanks for any feedback.

Happy reading!:)

Hello. And welcome. :)

As far as I can remember, if you use the EDITED method (look in the AH Library FAQs), your existing views, votes, etc, just carry on.

Submit like you did the first time but add EDIT to the end of the title.

Also put a note in the note field telling Laurel that the submission is an edited version.

Edits will take about a week to post.

Wow! A week? Oh well, I guess I should have done my part better the first time. Thanks for the reply. I've resubmitted it, so we'll see when it shows up. :)

Perfection is for those without something else to write.

My stories are riddled with errors, especially the early ones. Someday, I may return to them, but today I have better stories to write. I will happily refund the money my readers spent if they are dissatisfied.

That's correct. At one point I radically overhauled and greatly extended a one page story which had deservedly gotten lots of low votes, and I wanted to reset the vote counter, I requested the original be deleted, and resubmitted the rewrite under a similar but different name. As far as I know that's the only way to shake previous voting history.
