What was the charge and what was the substance (I assumed weed), and were they trading commercially?

I assumed that no-one got locked up for just using. I know that being in posession of a tradeable quantity can get you time but even then it generally has to be repeat offence.

While I wouldn't argue that they should legally or even morally there isn't a whole lot of reason to let them out. The same thing that prevents the cops from putting you in jail today for something that wasn't a crime yesterday when you did it should prevent them from letting you out today for something that is no longer illegal.

Now from a practical standpoint they very well might. Financially it makes sense and PR wise it looks great (at least to those who support the legalization of whatever.

Of course it's a plant....that kool aid bullshit they grow/spray it with is no different than the 3M used motor oil byproduct shit your average food is grown with/in.

And organic is organic, I've never used pesticides (never had to) or synthetic salt/petrol based chemicals of any kind. Just good clean compost, filtered water and light will blow the tits off any hydro bullshit bud in flavor, size, density and potency any day of the week....if you're not a shitty gardener. Ya see them chemicals are for people who don't know what the fuck they are doing, with regard to horticultural skills of course which they are quite obviously are lacking should they be growing like that.

Yep coke should be legalized and fucked to death with 'regulation' that has NOTHING to do with public safety and EVERYTHING to do with the rich making a power grab for a lucrative market.

Organically I yield just as much if not more than your best synthetic grows......shit talkers can shit talk but I've silenced more than a few haters in the hydro fanboy club of growers from warehouses in SF all the way down to and all around Los Diego.

Also have you seen the organic melons they are putting out in the north valley? Killing it dude.....killing it. Farmers are starting to figure it the fuck out, old school offered a lot of value you can't have while saturating your land in toxic waste you need a space suit to go near.

Organic vs synthetic growing has NOTHING to do with artisanship and everything to do with good sustainable horticulture/agricultural practices being lost to Miracle-Gro PR and political campaigns to sell people miracle juice in a jug they never REALLY needed in the first place.
