What - he repeated your words to make a point and it was unflattering. He also responded and told you honestly, eloquently and pretty respectfully (YMMV?) how he feels - and he offered friendship to you or neutrality. Why are you so angry at him?

Sorry to intervene. But just giving my perspective on things (I might be mistaken, though):

Personally and outside of this thread, I'm ok with Zumi. We never engaged in conflict. However, this thread started in such a bizarre manner, we all started acting defensively and throwing things at each other. And I suspect that Zumi felt put on the spot too by us. Because, by the time Riles appeared, he seemed pretty worked up & emotional and misinterpreted a lot of things.
So, as far as I am concerned, it was Zumi - I have no idea why he overreacted in this way here . He is usually much more measurate.

It was certainly an odd turn of events in that thread. I normally don't engage that way but it is surprising to me that you see his posts as friendly and mine as angry.

I am fully aware of how abrasive and dislikeable BB comes across and I do not condone his behaviour in the least, but I am also aware that he is very much doing it as some sort of odd performance art if you will. However, we have a history that goes well back into the years of Lit and he has given good and reasonable advice on handling the financial aspects of my divorce. In case you are unaware, the man is quite savvy

It is unfortunate that people (Zumi in this case) feel the need to stomp on anyone who speaks kindly of someone they consider a foe. However, I was respectful of how people feel regarding BB until Zumi used my words verbatim in a rather smarmy and sarcastic way (bolded even) in a post to luk I believe. From there it just spiraled downward.

He has a tendency to twist words or read things with a selective eye. So with that, I chose not to respond because I felt he was being unjust and disrespectful in his tirade. I suppose I could have explained myself better instead of saying a response wasn't warranted, but it was off the cuff and I really didn't want to delve into it anymore than to explain to GS my association with BB.

As far as my last post, he got the brunt of my annoyance as all the other people started weighing in, like Wings, Luk with his digs and Lorilie in support. If you know me at all, it isn't my way to jump on band wagons and I detest when people do it here. So...I shut it down on my part with a finality that perhaps stung but in the face of being attacked because I happen to have a friend from the wrong side of the tracks? I was done with it.

I bear no ill will towards Zumi inspite of all this but I also won't speak against BB.

- Has a fawningly acute interest in board personalities and dramas, almost straight from its first appearance.

- Passive-aggressively inserts itself into the said dramas, often joining in from a "neutral" stance, tossing out likewise passive-aggro bon mot blurts.

- Continuously bemoans and wails about the lack of quality posts that aren't centered around infighting and sniping while hypocritically continuing to ingratiate itself into the dramas. Drops names like they're candy and it's a diabetic ternt up to 300.

I caught all that, along with the distinct alty aroma, pretty quickly when I emerged from hibernation.

I assume he-she-it is no one I've ever tangled with before, because he-she-it hasn't started anything with me, so I guess he-she-it will eventually become background noise in my Lit experience.

Obviously, there's something else besides integrity at work there.

Hssh, I am loathe to come back here but your post should be addressed.

I'm not really sure what your story is but I am sorry if you've been railroaded on the GB. The evidence of how sour the individuals have become is written all over the pages of Lit. We all are guilty of it from time to time. Some get nastier and develop thicker skin. Some realize it just isn't worth it.

I see you have spoken against some of the nonsense that happens, and though I wouldn't ever ask someone to speak on my behalf, another viewpoint is always welcomed.
