Is the Gee Bee gene pool getting thin?

We need more threads encouraging debates on a variety of topics.
And since not many are willing to do that, we Really need more R-wingers. Even though some of their generalizations can be offensive, at times.. Because their threads are often the springboard to meaningful debates, interesting ideas and humorous remarks.

What? Get offended or pc and chase the more vocal r-wingers all away?

Then do what?
Get bored while watching GB getting filled with threads on sexual matters or kittens?
Or, attack each other and call each other shitheads, cunts, etc., or wish all kind of nasties on each others' families?

While I agree with the overall sentiment, I've not seen many 'meaningful debates' so much as partisans reciting whatever talking points which support their sides' particular narrative at the time.

Given the number of GB regulars that insist they are not here for prurient purposes, it makes sense that there would be some asexual budding for reproduction.

Not necessarily a bad thing except when of course the root stock is of marginal utility.

I can be persuaded to make some contributions. For SCIENCE/the good of humanity, you understand.

Naturally.

Missed chatting with you, Des. It seems like you haven't been around as much and when I'm around I'm not always exactly myself. When I'm not being full-strength me it's a bit awkward to engage you because you tend to elevate my use of allegory, Which would be undesirably revealing.

Thank you very much: it's true I can't be around as much because I am working a lot, now and for the foreseeable future. It's always good to know one is missed a little.

You would agree with Tolkien about allegory, then?
