Paid moderator, What's it worth to you?

Another forum where I visit recently needed a moderator and posted a want ad thread. They were looking for someone to monitor the forum for 2 -3 hours a days, and were willing to pay $500/month.

There was a catch. The paid mod could not post or participate in any discussions. Since there was still a crew of volunteer mods, it was not exactly clear what the role of the paid mod would be.

The question becomes, would you give up playing on a forum, in order to patrol it, and is $500 enough to tempt you to do it?

i'm an unpaid mod on another, far, far slower forum and i've posted there like maybe twice in the last six months because, seriously, those guys are idiots. if they paid me i'd gladly never post in the nest of weirdos ever again.

yes.. probably. sounds like a decent gig. as long as forum rules were clear cut, that would be a nice $500. this is the only forum i am in any way attached to. what kind of forum is looking to pay $500 a month? that seems like a big chunk of change.
