Hey, look at the noob, posting in the wrong thread and having to repost here. XD
Anyway! As far as audio stories are concerned, I would LOVE to know if anyone has ever heard any deep-voiced men from Liverpool, or at least ones good at mimicking it? I've heard many London accents in the audios and a few Scottish and Irish, but no Scousers. Am I out of luck, or is there a deliciously naughty story or two? Or those who might be willing to take a crack at it? ;)

I hear Ringo isn't up to much nowadays ;)

It's a funny accent....some people can't stand it, but I quite like it in its more gentler forms.

I couldn't stand it...until I met a bloke with said deep Liverpudlian-accented voice. The kind that rumbles over you, leaving shivers in its wake.

I still don't find it terribly attractive, especially on the higher-scale. But I'll make exceptions.

Will let you know if I think of anyone.

Sean Bean's a good northern voice.

A younger Sean Pertwee got my knickers wet every time. He seems to have gone a little nasal now though. (Would highly recommend Dog Soldiers if you get a chance.)

What about one of the McGann brothers - Paul McGann?

A good 'puddle' ?
Paul O'Grady (listen to Lilly Savage)

But I fear I must take issue with you, Redz.
"Northern Voice" indeed.

Sean Bean - oh very yes, but don't let anyone north of Watford Gap hear you say that (you'd likely get puzzled expressions in Derbyshire, though).
Sean Bean has a Yorkshire accent. Generally speaking, it's more likely to be round Wakefield-Sheffield, I suspect (I'm a bit out of practice).

Anyone on t'other side o t'Penines will lynch you for that one.
Listen to Accrington, Bolton or almost anywhere north of the M62 west of the Pennines and it ain't the same at all.
I have to confess to being a trifle ignorant about Oldham and its accents. I'm too far away in time to remember them

My excuse is that I'm from Wales!

Steve Jones - there's one with a nice voice. After stardom in the US, he's now reduced to shitty E4 programmes so he could be quite cheap?

He's a good looking bloke. What did he do in the U.S. then? I saw he was pushing that dating show on E4, as you say.

Hosted the host of the first season of the US X Factor. Went down like a lead balloon.

He had that slightly forced, almost artificially dry sense of humour that seemed to be compulsory for E4 presenters. I can imagine that going over some people's heads if you weren't expecting it.

Exactly....my associations with the Scouse accent used to be limited to Ringo Starr and Wakko Warner from Animaniacs....decidedly unsexy indeed! But then....I rediscovered (as in "wow, he's actually REALLY hot" lol) Ian McCulloch about 15 years ago (of Echo and the Bunnymen, been a fan from a very early age) and UNF. I actually find his accent and cigarette-roughened speaking voice, as a bit mumbly as it is, to be unbelievably sexy (his personality is just attractive as hell too, to be honest). He could mumble the phone book and it would still get me wet! *fans self* Thus my hopes that I can find a good audio or five. ;)
Paul McGann?
