I watched the BBC Proms Concert last night on The Story of Swing.They recreated the sounds of the swing era of the likes of Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Woody Herman. Glen Miller, Cab Calaway and the swing standards of my youth. I suppose you are too young to remember many of those great American classic arrangements.

I love swing music and the Big Band era. In my early 20's, I had a friend/mentor in his 40's who had a great collection of 78 rpm records of that music. I made cassette tape mixes from his 78's, and I'm still bummed that they were stolen from our rental truck during a move. "Begin the Beguine" is now playing in my head!

Mostly all I am noticing is the kneeling
