Topless as a passenger in a car. It was not something I would normally do but it was exciting.

Do you have something you can't believe you did?
Nope, I believe I did it since... I did it. ;)

What daredevilish experience would you like to try?

What food have you been surprised that you liked?

Well, not exactly a food but I thought I would never like wine, then I had May wine (a young/sweet wine). Other that that i don't recall ever being surprised that i liked a food.

Do you ever do activities and hope you don't get caught by death during them?

Generally speaking if thoughts of my incumbent death upon doing an activity should arise, then i would not do the activity. I consider it a "bad omen" of sorts. I don't believe in "omens and portents" but if a thought comes into my head that i might die, i consider it that some part of me thinks it's a bad idea to begin with.

Have you ever listened to a song, liked it, then realized later on what the lyrics were saying and thought "how could I have ever liked that song?"

Not really. Sometimes I can't believe I had kids, or that they are nearly grown.
Stuff Like that.
And then all the stupid stuff I do daily, like this morning, breaking a $20 part to a life jacket...I can't believe I did that...

Two of my favourite peeps!

My first real introduction to Thai was a beef salad! Wow! That meal gave me a new trend of thought about what a salad could really be!

Never want to be caught by death during some act?

Saving someones life.

Does anyone have a great cure for insomnia?

I don't sorry. I suffer sometimes too. Best I can say is take a motrin. find a boring book. Read.
(they say computer screens contribute to insomnia...but I don't want you to leave...but I feel obligated to tell you that).

Do you find yourself caught between being selfish and being honorable?

Nope, I believe I did it since... I did it. ;)

What daredevilish experience would you like to try?

Racing through the southern ocean.

LOL..yeah, I don't care, I still like it.

I am always selfish. I wish I was more honorable.

Do you enjoy the advent of autumn, or miss the end of summer?

A little of both. I love fall but am starting to hate winter.

What is your favorite season? And why?
Love Fall.. the crisp air, the cooler weather, the pumpkins, the changing leaf colors, the sweaters, the hot apple cider... *sigh* .. Yes, I love Fall!

Do you have a favorite Fall activity?

Uh huh, not fall down? :p
Love Autumn colours and the crispness of the air. I now look foward to Spring.

What's your most favoured travel destination?

Does anyone have a great cure for insomnia?

heh well this won't be a quick answer... yes, lots. first, don't hold high expectations to simply go to sleep in 5 minutes. The body and mind needs to wind down. it's like a spring in a kid's toy. it has to wind down before the mind can relax enough to go to sleep. this should be at least an hour. That means disconnect from the internet, nothing "good" to watch on tv, no eating sugary foods, etc. (also, no junk food. believe it or not, junk food tends to make you feel wired up).

Okay, here are two tricks that may help beyond that. first, some warmed milk does help sometimes, though it's not a cure all.
The next trick is, watch a movie you know by heart. for me, this is either Doug Adams TV series "hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy." I like it, but i must have seen it 200 times if not more.
If is tricky because you have to be almost lullabyed to sleep by the droning on of the stuff you know by heart. No surprises, nothing new. Basically you get bored to sleep.

the trick is to not pay attention to anything that might be interesting and give you that shot of adrenaline that makes you open your eyes and think "huh? what? maybe I should stay up for this??"

it shouldn't be irritatingly boring, because that too can be interesting. You get a shot of adrenaline as you pony up to list reasons why you find it oh so boring.

What daredevilish experience would you like to try?

Mountain climbing, though I don't consider that "dare devilish." climbing without a rope or climbing while upside down? Yes, then it is, but then i would stop and climb back down. If I know i can do it, then I do it, and it never comes up in my mind "this is dare devilish."

It used to be winter for the snow and the magical ice forest that sometimes happens when it does snow. Nowadays i don't really think about "favorite seasons." Mostly it's just "reasons i hate each season" heh

this is rediculous... i can't catch up 7 people have posted since i started writing this.

I think vavava is last to post, see her question

Do you have a favorite Fall activity?

I agree with you. Favorite activity.... hiking the Appalachian Trail. Seeing the changing leaves. Feeling the crispy air.

Do you bake apple pies?

LWulf----- I feel for your problems..... I'm usually three, four, five posts behind. I buffer for too long.

addendum...
WARNING: if you do this successfully with whatever movie you choose, and it works several times, you will train yourself that whenever the movie is on, you will go to sleep. so care must be taken not to have an audio of the movie and listen to it while driving because you will start to automatically fall asleep faster and sooner from listening to it.

we now return you to your regularly programmed question...

Occasionally, and yes.

What is your favorite meal to cook?

Irish stew. I LOVE the smell as it cooks and I love the flavors after they mix. I can throw in many different things and it always tastes great. Stew and a huge glass of milk. My favorite meal.

Do you try new foods or stick to your old favorites?

I enjoy trying new things.

Have you ever lied about a meal someone made for you tasting good?

You is a wonderous gem! In fact you just reinforced the study behind a childrens book sold online at this stage to assist children who too suffer insomnia. Saw it on the news last night and Im contemplating purchasing for myself. Thank you

Last I checked the question was pie.
I can't do rhubarb.

Yet I love uncooked rhubarb. Some vege I can only eat raw. Despise them cooked.

Any finicky sensory tastebuds out there?

a word about my posting. I don't have issues with "buffering" as some of you have mentioned. I just have issues when I see a question, I hit "respond" then start writing. Then i have to come up with a question which i wasn't thinking of when I hit "respond," like right now. i can't think of an question and sit there thinking too long.
Then I push submit and see someone posted the same minute i did or a minute before me. The way I see it, simply, there is too much activity in the thread. I'm not saying this tersely or hating anyone for it, but i'll back out when I see too much activity.
if it's a minute or two, it's nobody's fault, it's not the computer, the internet, mine or whoever posted a minute or two ahead or after me.

someone posts five or more minutes after me, and ignores my post, that's another matter.

I also hit "preview" to see if someone has posted before i click submit 9and if someone did then i start replying to that comment too) which is what surprises me when i do hit "submit" and see three replies before mine.
Honestly, i have no buffering time after i click submit.

...and i have still yet to come up with an interesting question though nobody has responded to vavavavoom's question...yet. heh

Any finicky sensory tastebuds out there?

Yes, though i love most vegetables from an early age, i found some vegetables were absolutely sickening to eat but later found out it was because they were sickening when cooked. Raw, I suddenly found i loved those despised veggies (green beans foremost among a few others...

Hmm...I guess that corrects my previous answer to "is there anything that surprised you that you liked?"

Did you like peter jackson's movie(s) the hobbit?

I was only joking about MY buffering problem... I always feel the need to apologize for it.

I haven't seen any of The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit movies. I did enjoy the book but I was "assigned" to read it by my daughter.

I'm not a fan of wine. I was a bartender and learned to dislike the smell of it.

Do you have a wine collection?

Do you fantasize about meeting someone from here in RL?

not so much fantasize, but I do hope. I don't like to kid myself that anything will come of it, but i like to think SOME people might like to meet me too (if only to find out am I really as "out there" as i portray myself to be. heh).

How many people have you met from online (not including sex, just met)?

No..... :)

Do you fantasize about meeting someone from here in RL?

Not a fantasy. I have done it and was happy with the results.
