Well, I like to road trip......if I can't drive for 10-12 hrs kinda fucks up the program.

Mine is a 98....got a new clutch, fluids, timing belt/water pump, accessory belts and ready for another 700k beat down. I'ma drive the wheels off that bitch and give it to the Chirrins for a first shit box car, they can enjoy their own boggers and sour milk when they are teens.

This seems like a solid plan. The way we've done it for a long time.

I am tired of the improved efficiencies being converted into excuses for bigger gas hogs. I was just suggesting the Tesla might be a step in another, maybe better, direction. I also respect CR's assessment (I know that some folks don't...) and would prefer to see us moving in another direction.

A law-abiding citizen as I owning a car to drive would necessitate much, much too much governmental mandate to be involuntarily obeyed for me to ever pay to play that tyrannical game again...

...I haven't owned a car since 2003 or so, haven't purchased even a gallon of gas for personal transportation use in more than 7 years, and can easily and fully live my life without any regular dependency on government streets or roads, and knowing I contribute so little to the pollution of this world because of just that makes me more of a happy camper, too.
