Why Do People Think I Put Members on Ignore?

I think I have hit the Iggy button twice and I'm not certain about the second time.

The only way I would put someone on ignore is if they posted so many times with Sig lines so long and blinding that it slowed up my Lit experience.

Being crazy, an asshole or a Fucktard or even a Troll will not make me do it.

Just saying...

And that's not a bad record for this here vicinity!

I put annoying idiots on ignore. I have one poster on ignore repeatedly because they can't stick to one login to be dumb under, so in reality I only have three or four on posters on ignore.

I had you on ignore for a while when you were fargvarb1 or whatever the hell.

lol

i seriously doubt that anyone here really gives a shit.

personally, i spend at least 12 hours a day thinking about all the possible reasons FGB might put people on ignore. it sometimes keeps me up at night.

thank god for this thread!

I have never used the ignore feature and probably never will. I have a red 'x' located in the top right corner of my screen.
I simply click on that and go back to the real world, with real people.

My ignore list is huge.

Not that pointless cares or anything.

I don't know why anybody thinks you have people on ignore. Most people announce when they put people on ignore. I myself have a huge iggy list and I bet 90% of the people on it don't even post anymore or if they do they've long since changed their name for the umpteenth time. I mean I know I have Jeninflorida on ignore under at least three names I can remember from memory and probably a bunch more that I can't, same for Busybody. Some people just aren't worth reading and don't bring anything to the conversation. Like ever.

That doesn't really help assuming you ever want to read things.

My list has grown to six since I added LJ-Rwhatever today.

That short ignore list cleans up the GB's front page.

I noticed that, besides those who use ignore for obvious reasons (space cloggers etc.)
some members make a point in letting you know you're on iggy, with an air of superiority.
What's the point in that? We're all hiding our identities behind usernames, anyway

I'm only quasi hiding. It would take all of half an hour for most people to track me down. I'm hiding behind this just slightly more than than Dwyane Johnson hides behind the The Rock.

That being said putting some one on iggy and bragging is a way of showing the world that this person is so far beneath you that you don't even need to read what they write anymore.

Yeah, just venting. It happened to me a few times - being discreetly told that I'm beneath others...

Re not hiding - you have courage, in my opinion. Especially if you're as clear about your political views, as you are. There are a lot of vengeful nutcases on the worldwide web.
My main motivation is that, should my employers figure out that I'm frequenting an erotic site or the content of what I'm posting --- they wouldn't trust me any more. And that would affect, in a way, my employment.

It was a HUGE drama on the GB for about a year.

Must have been before most of you nooblets floated over here from the Playground looking for men who dont wear pumps.
