I'm back and forth on anti-heroes and how realistic some of them are. More to the point I think that fictional heroes to some extent should be similar to religion. Nobody is ever going to live up to Kal-el, Kakkarot or Hey Zeus. They are there are something to aspire to.

Also Punisher isn't always exactly reasonable. I'm actually someone who really gets Blade. I'm that black kid who blacks didn't like growing up because I speak proper English, played video games, could give a fuck less about sports, listened to more rock than rap (though I've got nothing against rap) and (at the time in SoCal) have no beef in with Mexicans. But whenever yous tart slipping a little you remember that at the end of the day I am black and nothing I can do will ever change that. So I get Blade with that whole, humans don't like me because I'm a monster, monster's don't like me because I relate to humans when they aren't polishing their pitchforks. (Which is why on occassion I admit to getting a bit emotional about that shit, cus it pisses me off.) Punisher sometimes is just a dick to be a dick.

Not even close, he's almost always described as being right around the speed of sound. So, barely fast enough to dodge bullets at that range, and no where near fast enough to be casually rearranging the entire room. I mean it's a cool sequence, but they've done enough crossovers to show that he is explicitly slower than Flash.

Punisher I can almost buy carrying a movie on his own. Almost.

Of course your insane if you think Chronicles of Riddick is better than Riddick. Cus it's not. I'll grant you Pitch Black but I'm not sure if Pitch Black is a Riddick movie or a movie with Riddick in it. It's still the best of the trilogy so far.

I do wish they'd actually explaind more of what went on with the Necromungers though. And what I assume is a massive riot going on in that race right now.

Punisher is NOT a bad guy....he, like Riddick are anti-heros.

Which imo makes them a little more believable and human than the super noble bullshit you find in DC/Marvel goody tew shews characters. Just my opinion.

Neither of them are really EVIL bad guys. They don't hurt the innocent, not intentionally anyhow as they may not stick their own neck out to save a bitch, but the juju they do cut down is always worse in character than they are and/or had it fuckin' coming making you happy to see much badder but the lesser of two evils kick the shit out of the REALLY evil not quite so bad guys.



45-60min....definitely could make an awesome shoot em' up vengeance filled winner with the Punisher. 90+? Nahh....little hard to make an epic saga from a vengeance plot anymore, too much ADD.

Pitch Black is technically a Riddick flick but I think the 'Riddick' series/following only started because Vin D as Riddick in Pitch Black was so fucking good it started it's own little cult following. Which eventually blew up into the series with way more fans than PB saw in it's first couple years out.

I like Punisher and I'm looking forward to seeing him on Daredevil next spring, but I don't see what is going to make him different from Kingpin. Kingpin killed in order to make NYC a better place. The Punisher kills in order to make NYC a better place.

Punisher is a vengeful, sadistic kinda guy. He is on the other side of good guy, he is composed of violent, brooding, full malice.

This makes him a bit more interesting than a lot of other guys, but anti hero is a stretch and I consider him to be a bad guy.

Like Magneto being a bad guy, a great character. Motives and methods matter.
