They will be ok, if they didn't have to pay the huge interest rates.


The US could, but wouldn't need to do that. We control our own currency. If we got in a situation like Greece did we'd just pay off the foreign debt with new money.

A country that doesn't control it's own currency is no country at all. Greece has been a German territory ever since they started using the Euro.
