George Takei: Justice Thomas ‘a clown in blackface.

JIM TREACHER: Mr. Sulu, Set Phasers To Racist.

By referring to Clarence Thomas as “a clown in blackface,” George Takei has taken away nobody’s dignity but his own.

Why is it okay for a Japanese man to use such racist language against a black man? Because of their relative positions in the hierarchy of grievances. Sure, Thomas is black, and therefore he’s a designated victim. But he’s also a conservative, and he’s explicitly rejecting the narrative of victimhood that underpins the entire “social justice” movement. Therefore, the black dude is trumped by the gay Asian dude. Takei can spew as much racist garbage as he wants, and he’s protected because he not only embraces his own victimhood, but he treasures victimhood itself like the purest gold. Without it, he’s just another washed-up actor from a schlocky old show about spaceships.

Not that I doubt Takei means what he says. He really is a huge racist.

True.

What was racist about it?

George Takei Justifies Racist Attack On Clarence Thomas, Thomas “Abdicated His African-American Heritage”

Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 10.55.26 AM

George Takei, who is gay and progressive, attacked Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for his dissenting opinion in the recent Supreme court decision forbidding states from banning gay marriage.

Thomas in that opinion said that the government cannot take away the dignity of the human being, whatever actions it takes, that the dignity is part of the innate quality of being a human being. He reference slaves and Japanese interned during WWII is so stating.

Takei who apparently thought that insulting, called Thomas ‘a clown in blackface’ , saying he ‘doesn’t belong there’.

Instead of apologizing, he how has tried to justify that language with even more insulting comments.

A few fans have written wondering whether I intended to utter a racist remark by referring to Justice Thomas as a “clown in blackface.”

“Blackface” is a lesser known theatrical term for a white actor who blackens his face to play a black buffoon. In traditional theater lingo, and in my view and intent, that is not racist. It is instead part of a racist history in this country.

I feel Justice Thomas has abdicated and abandoned his African American heritage by claiming slavery did not strip dignity from human beings. He made a similar remark about the Japanese American internment, of which I am a survivor. A sitting Justice of the Supreme Court ought to know better.

I have expressed my full thoughts on the matter here.

So ‘blackface’ isn’t really racist, says George, it’s just a theater term for someone acting like a buffoon. Oh, that’s so much better now.

The Dolezal case and this make it so very clear that to the The Left it isn’t about truth or whether you are actually black, it’s about adherence to the doctrine of the progressive plantation. In George’s own words, if you don’t, even if you are black, ‘abdicated [your] African-American heritage’.

Nice to read you and your conservative tribe are catching-up to back issue news...

...sadly, I doubt any of you will live long enough to get to the part where you learn the republic is already lost.

George Takei Apologizes for ‘Ad Hominem and Uncivil’ Blackface Comment
by Josh Feldman | 4:43 pm, July 3rd, 2015 VIDEO

george takeiStar Trek actor George Takei came under some pretty heavy fire this week when he called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “a clown in blackface.” Takei was clearly upset with Thomas for his vote against gay marriage when the highest court in the land ruled to uphold it nationwide, and he called Thomas “a disgrace to America” who doesn’t belong on the court.

Takei made the controversial remark in speaking of Thomas’ dissent about slavery and “dignity.” Yesterday he doubled down and insisted his remarks were not racist, but lots of people (including some liberal commentators) gave Takei flak for making a racist remark, regardless of intent.

Well, this afternoon, Takei posted a lengthy apology on Facebook completely walking back his comments about Thomas and saying he understands now his words weren’t “carefully considered.”

Here’s Takei’s full apology:

On the eve of this Independence Day, I have a renewed sense of what this country stands for, and how I personally could help achieve it. The promise of equality and freedom is one that all of us have to work for, at all times. I know this as a survivor of the Japanese American internment, which each day drives me only to strive harder to help fulfill that promise for future generations.

I recently was asked by a reporter about Justice Clarence Thomas’s dissent in the marriage equality cases, in which he wrote words that really got under my skin, by suggesting that the government cannot take away human dignity through slavery, or though internment. In my mind that suggested that this meant he felt the government therefore shouldn’t be held accountable, or should do nothing in the face of gross violations of dignity. When asked by a reporter about the opinion, I was still seething, and I referred to him as a “clown in blackface” to suggest that he had abdicated and abandoned his heritage. This was not intended to be racist, but rather to evoke a history of racism in the theatrical arts. While I continue to vehemently disagree with Justice Thomas, the words I chose, said in the heat of anger, were not carefully considered.

I am reminded, especially on this July 4th holiday, that though we have the freedom to speak our minds, we must use that freedom judiciously. Each of us, as humans, have hot-button topics that can set-us off, and Justice Thomas had hit mine, that is clear. But my choice of words was regrettable, not because I do not believe Justice Thomas is deeply wrong, but because they were ad hominem and uncivil, and for that I am sorry.

I often ask fans to keep the level of discourse on this page and in comments high, and to remember that we all love this country and for what it stands for, even if we often disagree passionately about how to achieve those goals. I did not live up to my own high standards in this instance.

I hope all of you have a wonderful, safe and joyously free July 4t, the first where all married couples in the U.S. can enjoy the full liberties of matrimony equally. It is truly a blessing to be an American today.

How much searching have you been doing on George Takei lately? You seem infatuated.

Busybody, you are wrong, as wrong as Trump, as wrong as Coulter, as wrong as the baker, the photographer and the candlestick maker.

You homophobia has precluded you from seeing the beauty and truth of George's original statement and just how pervasive homophobia is in the Republican ranks, especially with Republicans in black face. It is Justice Thomas who owes the nation an apology for having the temerity to say something anti-gay (or even anything that can be remotely triggering to those who fight for equal rights, social justice and free speech).

You can clearly see that none of the Leftist Justice League here can possibly bring themselves to say that anything George said was bad because, in reality, they believe he was speaking "truth to power" and it is time for lowlifes such as yourself to admit that Justice Thomas is only where he is today as a result of White Privilege making a mockery of Affirmative Action in order to smear such a noble and needed "reparation" for slavery and traditional Christian bigotry and their hate mongering which was so often directed at the defenseless GLBTXYZ community.

So stop being a h8ter and get down on your knees before the beautiful Saint George.

K? Get with the program.

;) ;)
