Poor conservative and "Not Republican" nut jobs are having a really bad week. The ACA subsidies were upheld, same sex marriage bans were found unconstitutional, and the symbol of traitorous racists will no longer be afforded official recognition in S.C., major retailers are removing items depicting same from their inventories.

It's been a great week for Americans, not so much for racist and homophobic shit-bags.

I would vote for symbols of governmental authority be respectful of the social contract of government serving the people and not the other way around. But that's just me.

First amendment rights remain unchanged. This restricts only government bodies, who will not be harmed by being asked to hold to a higher standard.

but I believe the retailers: Walmart, Target, Etsy, Sears/K-mart, Google, Warner Bros and The US National Park Service has stopped selling the flags/products with the flag on them.

So, you want the government to force private companies to sell specific items?

It's open to legal action if they do, but likely they won't.

It comes down to whether or not an individual believes that "freedom of expression" means freedom from censure. It doesn't. For a government body that might mean freedom from elected office.
