Like the idea of having special signs when bringing up the lads, were you a strict disciplinarian when raising your family and were there lasting benefits?

I had standards, but I wasn't exactly strict. Just very clear on my expectations. Older son brought this up at a family dinner recently. I think he was enjoying the idea of the thought bubble over his dog's head "Sit? Stay? Come?" The granddog is a very bright German Shepherd/pit bull mix [??], but the thought of him considering which bit of manners might be called for cracked us all up.

An interesting view of well cultivated garden, gives a new meaning to crop sharing.
