The Isolated Blurt Thread: I Learned The Truth at XVII

I hate bright sunny mornings, it takes me longer to go to sleep.

So I have the windows covered so my apartment is dark, it takes a couple of hours to start feeling tired.

Sometimes I wish I were living in 1890 or 1920. Then I remember that I am posting on Lit whilst soaking in a hot bath.

I have book arm, holding up a huge novel on the train every day. It's the opposite arm from a masturbation injury.

I find that I really, really hate NPR ( for you foreigners, that's the U.S. "National Public Radio") and am running short of patience with its rank hypocrisy.

While I appreciate its advertisement-free format, I despise its oh, so treacly and saccharine political correctness, its blatant advocacy, its disgusting hypocrisy and its heavily biased reporting.

The hypocrisy is particularly evident and infuriating in its policies respecting comments. While advocating and exploiting the outer limits of free speech rights for itself and its employees, no such right exists for its listeners. The censorship of comment is galling. It is, in fact, a case of blatant, vile and disgusting hypocrisy.

It makes me value the GeeBee and its virtually non-existant moderation all the more highly. It makes me all the more grateful for the tolerance of our gracious host and hostess.

Groupon has a deal on a Starbucks gift card, $10 worth for $5. Made my day.

There are now ambidextrous pitchers. Damn, the fapping they could do.

So what this is usually code for is that a site allows positive articles about Obama but won't let racists call him "nigger" (or any of the other more inventive wingnut epithets) in the comments. Is there something more interesting in this particular complaint? What exactly have they been "censoring"?

I am struggling hard to develop a meal plan for gestational diabetes. I meet with a nutritionist on Monday, but until then, I'm relying on sample menus from the web. I thought that eliminating sweets would be the difficult part, but it's not being able to have cereal or fruit for breakfast, and no fruit juice at all, that is making me moody.

I want my motherfucking apple juice.

ugh. my head feels tight. i think my brain is too big. someone grab me a drill and an ice cream scoop. i think it's time to make room.

One of the best diets I've ever been on, I felt like Superwoman. I think I went through a jar of peanut butter a week.
