This is the future of abortion that the anti-choice crowd longs for

AP Report: Number of Abortions Dropped In Every State Except Two….

LIFE

Dems across America inconsolable upon hearing the news.

Via Politico:

Abortions have declined in nearly every state, according to a recent nationwide Associated Press survey.

In states both red and blue, in places where Republican-led initiatives against abortion have succeeded and in states where abortion rights remain protected, the number of abortions nationwide has declined by about 12 percent since 2010.

Five of the six states with the biggest drop in abortions have not passed any laws restricting abortion clinics or providers, the AP reports.

In terms of percentage, Hawaii experienced the biggest decrease, at 30 percent. In 2010, there were 3,064 abortions performed in the state, compared to 2,147 last year. New Mexico followed, with 24 percent, along with Nevada and Rhode Island at 22 percent and Connecticut at 21 percent.

States that have recently passed more anti-abortion legislation — like Missouri, Oklahoma and Indiana — have seen a drop of more than 15 percent, while blue states like New York, Washington and Oregon also had similar declines. Approximately 70 abortion clinics have closed in the U.S. since 2010, the AP reports, citing state officials and advocacy groups.

Abortions only rose in two states tracked by the AP. In Michigan, abortions increased by 18.5 percent between 2010 and 2014; in Louisiana, there was an increase of 12 percent.

Not snark, but seriously asking for the conversation, is late term abortion legal when it's rape & incest?

In Louisiana it is legal for rape, incest, and if the mother's life is in danger. Dunno about other states, I assume most are the same.

So once more the hand-wringing, bed-wetting alarmists are full of shit. Who'd of guessed?

And my opinion of those that vote their genitals is still somewhat lower than whale shit.

You want to take a wild guess about the demographics of the abortions in the two states on the rise? Both states also have poverty issues.

I am betting it would make Margaret Sanger's heart swell with pride.

PS. What up, neighbor? Been meaning to say howdy. Saw 4st stick his head in the door (last night?) and missed a chance to say hello there.

They don't vote their genitals, they vote against the biggest most intrusive thing a government can do. You claim to be against that.

I'm a little surprised they weren't on the increase in a couple of other states. <shrug>

The fate of the Republic will not rise or fall on the issue of abortion or access to birth control.

Ishmael

Louisiana had one clinic until a few years ago, something like 6 more were added. Who pays for the clinics? Taxpayers.
Jindal did manage to close a couple down in an attempt to get our budget out of the red.

Of course the pro-choice fringe wants to increase the term limit for all abortions, it's more profitable for the clinics. Abortion$!

The fate of the Republic will not rise or fall on the issue of abortion...

What utter bullshit.

"The fate of the Republic" is doomed...

...when the inalienable right to life may be aborted at will.

Hard for you to have sexual fantasies about kids that have been aborted, huh?

words can simply not describe the horror this child went through...

Four members of a Texas family have been arrested on suspicion of beating a 14-year-old relative to induce an abortion two years ago after she had been raped by a member of the family, Dallas police said on Wednesday.

Cedric Jones, 27; Sharon Jones, 45; Cecila McDonald, 25; and Lonnell McDonald, 27, were arrested on Tuesday and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, according to online jail records.

The girl was about eight months pregnant when the four beat her for six hours, repeatedly kicking her in the abdomen, police said. The Dallas Morning News said the teenager gave birth to a stillborn baby hours later. The body was thought to have been burned in a charcoal grill and buried at an unknown location, police said.

“Several family members took matters into their own hands,” Deputy Chief Gil Garza told reporters.

Before the beating, police said the family had tried birth control pills and cinnamon tablets to abort the pregnancy, police said.

The relationship between the victim, now 16 years old, and her relatives was unknown but police described them as “immediate family.” The suspects are being held at Dallas County jail with bail set at $150,000 each.

Robert Cayald, 22, the victim’s cousin, was also arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, police said at a news conference. His bond was set at $25,000.

The young girl told police she became pregnant after a sexual assault by a family member but was too embarrassed to report it to authorities.

Police said the four relatives discovered the teenager was pregnant and used various methods to terminate the pregnancy out of fear that Child Protective Services would remove the other children living at the home.

The fact that you are trying to reduce your opponent to a violent criminal without offering a substantiating argument shows that you know you are in the wrong.

There's a certain part of the political spectrum who claims to hate big government that would disagree with you about that statement.

Legalized abortion has nothing to do with this. This is more an example of "people suck." This could happen independent of legalized abortion because some people - and some groups of people - just fucking suck.

Rape, incest and protecting the mothers life are the only times abortions should be an option. 95+% of all abortions are done because people have consensual sex, protection fails and they don't want the child.

Did you know everytime you stick your cock in a vagina there is a chance for pregnancy? I am as shocked as you but it's true. If you don't want the risk of a child, don't stick it in. If you think you can accept the remote possibility, then fuck away.
A pro-lifer, I assume?

Funny, how ALMOST everyone who says what you say, also opposes welfare programs for these kids when they're born into poor families. And they oppose school funding, and government-funded prenatal care for those who can't afford it.

"Well if they can't afford it then they shouldn't have had those kids", you would no doubt say. Yeah. No wonder the pro-abortion movement has the political upper hand, by saying "poor women should have kids" pro-lifers literally hand the world to them on a silver fucking platter!!!

That ain't pro-life, that's anti-choice. No wonder you guys are in the doghouse. You belong there, eating expired dog food. Politically speaking.

If y'all Conservatives hadn't taken over the pro-life movement with your anti-woman approach to things the pro-abortion people would have been tsunami'd out of politics ages ago.

And I do say pro-abortion because even if artificial wombs existed they'd still want to kill embryos and fetuses for stem cell research. There's no "interests of the woman" argument there - just harvesting the lives of someone who can't fight back.

Having at someone who can't fight back. Hmmmm. Sounds like Conservatism...

It's true, the OP weighs in at about 500 gigaderps.

And that signifies what?

Ishmael

That those who are screaming "no big government" are going to put this issue at the forefront of their platform. There is a large section of the voting public who do believe that this will make or break the republic.

I'll disagree with you. If this young lady had the option of seeking medical care the beatdown could have been avoided.

You're full of shit. You "assume" that the morons that beat her down would have allowed her to exercise that option. Just as in damn near every other occasion you shoot off your mouth before you know the facts. If that weren't bad enough you take every opportunity to accuse others of being 'judgmental.'

So you know for a fact that they would have stopped her. Please share those facts.....
