I came across a few transgender persons.
Their transition was more about trying to achieve a coherent identity and to rid themselves of depression (instead of merely acting the way society expects them to) - more than about the physical aspect.

I have personally interacted with 6-7 in my life (I live in NYC) and each one obviously needed mental help. They were all obviously very depressed and very troubled so the transitioning didn't help. And that isn't even counting the dozens I personally witnessed having anonymous bareback anal sex for pay on the streets of the meatpacking district back in the 90s. I am only speaking of the ones attempting to live in regular society.

I know of course that this has happened before, but I find it hard to believe that people to this day celebrate enforced castration of children for profit (i.e. a soprano singing voice). How are you able to celebrate that? At least Bruce chose this for himself.
