Caitlyn Jenner did not spell her first name with a "K' because she wants a clean break from Kardashian moniker ... TMZ has learned.
Sources closely associated with Bruce tell us Caitlyn wants to make it clear to her family and the world ... she is her own person. That sounds obvious, but we're told it was an extremely meaningful choice for her ... she has never been her own person before, and becoming part of the Kardashian brood would undermine her goal.
Our sources say it's not that there's bad blood between Caitlyn and the Kardashians ... it's all about self-identity.

“Call me Caitlyn,” declares a headline with her photo in a strapless corset, legs crossed, sitting on a stool. The image was shot by famed celeb photographer Annie Leibovitz. Prior to the unveiling of Caitlyn, Jenner had said he prefers the pronoun “he,” but contributing editor Buzz Bissinger, who wrote the accompanying story, refers to “she.”
According to Vanity Fair, which took to Twitter with the cover Monday, Jenner spoke emotionally to the magazine about the gender journey: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.'”

What the fuck would anyone want to transition into being an old, post-menopausal woman?
If you are going to do something so ridiculous, at least do it when you are 20 and have a shot at looking good. No one wants a 65 year old woman (unless she is already coupled up in which case she has aged along with her partner), so why become one? Jenner has gone straight into sexual irrelevancy.
I wonder what the history books will say about our society, one which celebrates self castration (whether via hormones or surgery). They will think we are deranged.

I came across a few transgender persons.
Their transition was more about trying to achieve a coherent identity and to rid themselves of depression (instead of merely acting the way society expects them to) - more than about the physical aspect.

I diagnose Jenner with FACTITIOUS DISORDER. Factitious people are sure theyre what theyre not and cant be. The disorder usually applies to hypocondriacs but the dysfunction is the same for males who believe theyre female.
