I used to believe that the only members of a sane society who should carry guns were police, security, members of the military, and anyone living in Wyoming, Montana, or Chicago (lol).

Now, after that black couple were murdered by a crowd of mob mentality, deranged cops, I'm reconsidering my position on guns.

Being that guns are big business and feather the nests of our "public servants" (wink), and being that we can't rid our mostly law abiding society of guns, legal or illegal, perhaps the answer is to arm everyone.

"Mom, don't forget your handgun when going to the hairdresser. Junior, here's your lunch money. Are you packing your pistol? Sis, being that this is your first date with a man you don't know, perhaps you should bring my Magnum 45 with you."

It's ridiculous that it took 60 police cars to chase down one car. Don't they take high speed driving courses?

It's ridiculous that the police shot 139 bullets, one-hundred-thirty-nine bullets (wow) at two unarmed, black suspects. It's ridiculous that no police officer went to jail for anything.

What if that happened to you? What if some deranged cop jumped on the hood of your car and shot through your windshield at your wife and/or your children 13 times? I can't even imagine the horror of the innocent female passenger.

Admittedly, that would never happen to us because we're all white. Right?

Yet, if everyone had a gun and if we're all packing heat, that cop would have thought twice about jumping on their hood. I dare say, that cop would never jump on the hood of any car that had passengers in it, whether they were black or white.

"Hey, I'm not jumping on that hood. What are you nuts? The little, old lady would blow me away if I jumped on the hood of her Mercury Grand Marquis."

His defense for unleashing a volley of bullets at two unarmed was that he thought the car backfiring was a gunshot. His defense for being the police officer, the judge, the jury, and the executioner was nothing more than they were black, ergo they were disposable. No one would miss a couple of dead niggers. Right?

Seriously? We've all watched enough people being murdered by guns on TV to know the difference between a car backfiring and a gun being discharged. Any 8-year-old knows the difference between a car backfiring and a gun firing. Are you expecting me to believe that a trained police officer can't tell a gunshot from a car backfiring? Are you kidding me? How many times have they been to a gun range?

Imagine if the suspects threw firecrackers out the window, the police would have unleashed their arsenal of automatic weapons on them. Oh, wait, they did that already.

I'm embarrassed to be a white person. I'm ashamed to support my local police. I don't blame any black person living in America from arming themselves. They'd be dumb, suicidal, not to keep a firearm on their person at all times.

Since Lincoln freed the slaves (wink, wink), nothing has changed in America.

Just as I'll never understand any Jewish person who buys a German, frigging car, I'll never understand any black person who volunteers to serve in the military of the United States of America.

I'd love to see that cop jump on the hood of the presidential motorcade. The Secret Service would blow him away...I think.

When I travel as I did recently to Maryland I drive with my .45 tucked next to the drivers seat.

I will never drive through New York, New Jersey and now recently add Baltimore to that list without being armed, especially if I am traveling with my wife.

Anyone tries anything crazy they eat one and a face full of glass with it because I won't even roll down the damn window.

The case that sticks in my head (yours was about police which is insane in its own right) is the video where a bunch of bikers terrorized a SUV witha couple and their two year old child in it.

The guy finally ran over a couple of the bikes and drove into New York city with them chasing them, they caught him pulled him out of his car and beat him in front of his wife and two year old daughter

Meanwhile all those New Yorkers who talk about how tough they are stood and watched and where were the cops? Maybe chasing a unarmed couple around? Maybe choking a guy for the heinous crime of selling single cigarettes?

So, yeah I carry one when I travel around because that will be the day. Get in front of my car I will make you a speed bump, try to get into it and get rewarded with an extra orifice in your face.

Sad to say this country is heading for a lot more of my attitude because the cops are chasing everyone they shouldn't and the inmates are running the asylum.

Damn shame to ruin a perfectly good car window with a bullet because of a bunch of pansy motorcyclists. Do you know how much it cost to replace a car window?

Moreover, you'd have all of that shattered glass to deal with while driving down the road with the wind blowing bugs in your car.

"Honey. There's a giant bug on the dashboard. Quick! Shoot it!"

Having grown up in England guns were something that I only noticed in films, like Warp drive, or Captain Kirk's flip-top communicator. Sadly they're not. They're used far too much to end life and perpetuate fear.

The only way to break the circle of violence is to turn to something more positive, harder and compassionate.

Having lived in America most of my life now I know the historical ramifications and the civic responsibility of carrying a weapon to protect your property.

Perhaps it's being an outsider but I couldn't ever imagine shooting dead or harming anyone for stealing just a 'thing' whether it's a DVD player, or a car or bicycle. That's not worth any life or pain or spilt blood. It's just a thing. I also feel someone stealing something isn't doing it because they want to they are often poor or have other major problems. Pointing a gun at a problem just makes it worse. Not better.

I can say having met many people in the gun industry that they don't give a damn about any constitutional right they care only about their profit margins sadly.

It's not a situation that has an easy solution, but the increasing bloodshed is too high a price for the right.

It's also a right written hundreds of years ago, the world has changed a lot since then, the law should reflect the world as it is, not as it was.

Well soon, here in Texas, we will be able, if you are legally able to own a handgun, to carry them in plain sight. It's called open carry. Holster on your hip, gun in holster. The law also stipulates that law enforcement can't just stop you because you happen to be carrying. No stop and frisk without probably cause.

So I guess for a traffic stop you might consider handing the cop your drives license, proof of insurance, registration and you gun registration card.

Sadly, guns are ingrained in America. Guns are big business. We have wars, just so that we can sell more guns, more bullets, tanks, planes, and ships.

Our sons and our daughters are just collateral damage. So what if a few thousand people die from being shot. The bottom line is that those billionaires are making billions of dollars more while the rest of us wave the American flag and quote the second amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

The real question is, how can so many people be so stupid?

This country, my country, and your country has enough money to send any citizen who wants to go to college for free.

This country, my country, and your country has enough money to give every citizen free healthcare.

This country, my country, and your country should give everyone who wants a full-time job a decent full-time job with benefits.

Only and apparently, those in power don't want all the citizens educated. They can better control us by keeping us ignorant.

There's no money in giving everyone free healthcare. There's more money in pushing pills, the reason why they'll never cure cancer and diabetes. There's no money in it.

They've already given our best jobs, our manufacturing jobs, to those who live in third world countries. Soon, this will be a third world country.

Soon, those billionaires will have to find another place, a safer place to live.

Oh, wait. I almost forgot. It's Memorial Day. God Bless America.

I think that the police officer involved should be locked away for his own safety.

However he's just another racist, redneck, fucktard moron with a gun, a small dick and a scratch he just can't itch.

It's such a shame he isn't in a uniform and fighting in the US army. He'd have been right in his element years ago in Afghanistan.

It's scary the people that we have 'protecting' us and even scarier to see how blind American justice can be.

As a former police officer, a member of the military, and now a concealed carry license holder, the responsibility is knowing the law of the state, city you live in. If you follow the law and any training it required you to take, then you will in most cases never have to use your weapon.

When in the service of my country, I did, unfortunately, have to use my weapon. Although no one was killed, I did wound the man who knifed my partner. He was still able to run away and was mauled by a K9 unit farther up the road. He was later tried and hung. (This took place in Korea, way different laws there)

Since then, I have not found carrying a weapon to be all that much of a burden. Know the law, trust your training and you can't go wrong, unless you panic. It takes a cool head to carry and use a weapon. Wait until afterwards to panic.

In most states in the US it is unlawful to shot someone fleeing with property. If they are in your home and you are in fear of your life, shoot before you or your family are harmed. The hide and call 911 is bullshit that only those nanny states rely on...New York, California, Illinois, etc.

In Texas...well the laws here are different. You can, under the law, shoot the guy sitting in you vehicle trying to steal it as long as the vehicle is parked on your property. Would I consider doing that? Probably not, unless he was also armed, then all bets are off. Can you shoot someone for throwing a rock through you window? Of course not.

"The biggest fallacy and the most fatuous lie is that 'war is good for business.' It is only good for the devil downstairs. Considering that I don't believe in the good Lord, or his evil counterpart I'm left with the unpalatable truth is the realisation that without a devil pulling our strings, is that a 'human' being would think war is good for business. However when the book of the world is writ, it will always be remembered that there is nothing more deluded than a righteous man, and nothing as dangerous as the lust for riches and the chasing after trinkets and gold.

Myself?... I'd rather toil in the filth with the 'salt of the earth and sleep the sleep of the honest tired and the truly righteous, that of the little man or woman, toiling not for world changing or epic gains, but scratching a living for themselves and their families and communities.

For if they are the meek I hope they survive to inherit the earth when the mad, righteous and rich fools have wiped themselves clean off this world, this earth, our home."

Bravo! Finally someone with knowledge. Great comment.

My uncle was a Boston Police Captain who later in his career was in charge of Internal Affairs. He hated working for Internal Affairs but after working in all departments from robbery to murder, he loved vice the best.

He said that he met some of the nicest people in vice who later became his friends.

He started as a street cop after graduating college and worked his way up. It was his knowledge of people and their neighborhoods that made him a leader and worthy of being a captain in the Boston Police.

Sadly, most of my other relatives were in the Mafia (lol).

Unfortunately, if the poor find themselves in a place to rule the rich, pity the poor. If you think it's bad now, wait until the rich, powerful, and influential think that they're in jeopardy of losing everything.

Then, and only then, will you truly see a mad, mad, mad world where the rich come down on those poor, unfortunates who they deem as unappreciative.

"Please Sir. May I have a little more?"

"Off with his head!"

The tragic fact is most Americans are killed in a burglary by an armed robber. In most cases the burgled has taken the gun of the home owner. So they've been killed by their own gun.

Most people killed in a crime are armed. Most unarmed people are not. It makes little quantifiable difference of that state the crime occurs in has the death penalty or not. So the death penalty is of no real deterrent to murder.

Although I always find the DS ironic.

It says one thing; killing is wrong. Murder is an inexcusable crime. As punishment we will now kill you.

"Most illogical Captain."

"Spock, point me out a law on capital punishment that was ever... Logical."

I know a few people who would be considered 'prostitutes' or escorts. Thankfully I've never been one to judge, and as a friend I know who told me about her career at university, she said "Hey at least I'm a sure thing." That always made me smile.

I've been brought up in a pretty cosmopolitan view of the world and always had my head stuck in a book, and as my brother once joked: "as long as no children or small furry animals are involved I'm easy like most normal folk."

It's truly sad that we have to quote fictional characters to make a point. Next, we'll be making cartoons of Yogi Bear.

A term used too loosely, where are our heroes? What happened to our champions? Now that President Kennedy is assassinated and Bruce Jenner is...a woman, who can we look up to?

Even Superman supposedly committed suicide.

All we have left is...Kim Kardashian.

"Good Lord!"

One reason to keep you firearms locked up in a big heavy safe. Except for the one under you pillow.

If he has a knife, I doubt I will surrender my firearm. If he has a knife to my wife's throat I will not surrender my firearm as it will be aimed directly at his head. And on the code word from me, my wife will drop to the ground and I will kill him dead. Less questions that way.

Not a fan of guns, they make me nervous.

My husband bought me one and taught me to use it for self defense should anyone break in and he's not around.

When I hold it I look at it and think, this can kill someone, hey I could kill myself with it and that feeling is very eerie.

I like to go to the range sometimes, its just shooting at targets, but even then I see all the weapons there and have that other thought.

But I support people's rights to own them and feel that we are in bad times and we are heading for turning into the wild west in the next ten years if people cannot find a way to turn all their negative energy to peace.

All of our television channels, cable TV, newspapers, and magazines are own by 7, white, elderly billionaires.

Once illegal, when the Republicans controlled the house, the senate, and the White House, they rubber stamped our rights of monopoly away. Now, we're at their mercy as to what news they want us to hear.

Big Brother, I'm afraid is worse than what George Orwell wrote when he penned 1984 in 1948.

I'm sure there are lots of men who would love to hang onto Kim Kardashian's big tits while fucking her from behind. Only, there has to be more to life and something better than just sex, guns, and rock 'n roll.

Maybe we should bring back religion. Where's Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart when you need them? All we have now are the Osteen twins, Joel and Victoria.

I miss Tammy Faye and Jessica Hahn. Now those were real people...I think.

The answer is not to look for heroes and not to let your kids look for heroes.

Be your own hero.

"You are being watched. The government has a secret system: a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know, because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people; people like you. Crimes the government considered 'irrelevant'. They wouldn't act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us, but victim or perpetrator, if your number's up... we'll find you".

Season one opening voice-over by Harold Finch (Person of Interest)

Hey don't knock it! 😉 Personally if I was to be drawn to a female celebrity it'd be Scarlett Johanson, not really a celebrity as like many she doesn't go out of her way courting attention, and sctuslly has talent - unlike most reality TV 'stars' and I use that word advisedly.

If I had to name the likes of Kim Kardashian after a celestial body it'd be a black hole - a void where nothing escapes: light, time, hope!
