It's already too warm to walk here in upstate NY. These May afternoons with it being in the mid to high 80s is just not right.

Is walking getting any easier, and how far away is the river?

the river is probably less than two miles as the crow flies, but that's private property with nowhere to walk. Instead, I drive five miles to the national park where there's parking, trails, lavs, wildlife.

oh goodie, I get to give a shout out to the NEOS, New England Overshoes. They are basically Vibram soles attached to waterproof fabic. You can wade in them and stay dry. And they fold down to fabric wrapped around flexible soles so they're great for travel.

But you're right, you noticed the green on those rocks. Very slippery. Even with walking sticks and those soles, I went down on hands and knees and decided it was wiser to stay there than attempt to stand again. There was a drop off and a slide off to a waterfall below.

Not sure those rocks would be the perfect playground but your pose would be perfect for lips and tongue Just saying...

kind of a risky slippery place... truly not the best playground
