I am more inclined to worry needlessly when my life gets too stressful, I think I've learned how to balance but of course it doesn't matter what I THINK I can do.

I know! I've known two people who had nervous breakdowns and were hospitalized so when I think break down I think of that kind of thing.

For me a breakdown was not to that extreme. It was more ~ lost my sense, cried too much, was preoccupied and couldn't sleep when something really upsetting happened.

I did manage to get laid while I was in there...heck in the years after I had sex with four more ladies I met there...and married one.

Over the years I've known several that have had breakdowns. Two resulted in suicides. In about half the cases the signs were all there, the other half came right out of the blue, no outward signs at all. The two suicides fell into the 'out of the blue' column.
