Every week there are arrests in the NFL, domestic violence, assault, drugs, DUI, guns...

Tom allegedly broke the rules a little, but there's no proof of it. On the other hand, there's proof on tape, virtually every single play in virtually every NFL game, of players breaking the rules. Virtually every fucking play, to one degree or another, somebody is breaking a rule. And nothing is done about it most of the time. So how fucking stupid is this shit about footballs allegedly being slightly underinfllated? I say say pretty damn stupid. You'd think it was a crime, or something.

So fine the team, if there's proof. Fine the player, if there's proof. Then get on with the game, just like they do when they throw a flag and penalize a team five yards, or fifteen, or whatever, and sometimes fine the team or the player later if it's something egregious. This is no different. It's just a fucking rule, and rules are broken every game, on virtually every play. There's a lot of money riding on every game.
