I was once driving through a local state park. As I rounded a bend on a curvy road, there was an emu standing on the pavement.
I was nonplussed.

It's part of the Shawnee National Forest, more a wilderness area than a city park. I would have expected to see deer or buzzards.

I'm not sure emus EVER look depressed. Are you confusing them with emos?

There's a couple of buffaloes in the backyard of a trailer a couple of miles from where I live. They were surprisingly small. Maybe they were beefaloes/beefalos.
Spellcheck doesn't like either plural. Feel free to chose your own.
