The Jazz Fest up in Denton must have been the place to be last night, we are sitting with a 75% call out rate at work this morning. I told the manager, when she called me to get me logged on early, that she needs some new people! We are heading into our busy season, this ain't gonna fly.

Yucky weather in my neck of the woods this morning. I was really looking forward to finally wearing pretty sundresses. Now I'm thinking a lazy Sunday and lounge pants are in order.

Yeah.. heads will start rolling on Monday, the director had to come in to help out and she first texted me just after 6am.
It is clear and sunny up here! I wish I was outside in it instead of just gazing out the window.

The DFW metroplex will be brushed by the northern edge of the Tornado Alert area, according to NOAA forecasts.

Just some thunderstorms up here last night!
Got a little weather in ATX also. In fact, the power went down, so I had the rare treat of watching the storm roll through illuminated only by flashes of lightening.
I was almost sorry I fell asleep...

The leading downdraft, combined with the rain meant I couldn't see more than a few feet during the lightening bursts. Just got finished picking, stripping and stacking the downed branches in the yard.
On a plus note, it looks like I won't have to do any tree pruning until autumn.
