Do you like what you see in the mirror?

some days are better than others
some is within my power to change
some isn't

the best days are when the mirror reflects how i feel inside

I don't think about me because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I strive to be clean but cant care less what folks think of me. When I was 18 two girls quarreled over my looks...one insisted I was dog meat, the other insisted I was a dream-boat. The first time I met my wife she was all over my ass.

Of course. The issue is, and has always been, do others see what I see?

Some days, sure. Others, not so much. I'm my own worst critic.

I was my own worst critic before I joined here. Now I barely make the top 10. :D

And to answer Hypoxia's question - no, of course. I'm English.

Ish is getting existential on us. ;)

I dig it.

I generally like what I see . . . but I don't get too caught up in it, unless I'm trying to impress. And then the only difference I employ is being freshly shaved. Unlike many men, I do not look good with a two day growth.

I'm not in the kind of shape I was even five years ago, but life will often do that to you. What's more important is that I like myself more than I did. That effects the way I carry myself, and the way I interact with people. I'm more smiling, less brooding.

While that's probably not as 'sexy' . . . I don't need to be. I'm just me.

And I'm okay with that.

Hey dude. Have you broken your distilling cherry yet? If not you can try some aging. Suck up to Mischka, she has an Oak barrel source.

No distilling, because I'm not in a permanent place, yet (my job keeps me moving around, so it's apartment living for me and the missus).

I did buy one of those aging kits, but hadn't set it up intil recently. I'm about a month in . . . it's a two liter barrel, with some standard "white dog" whiskey inside of it.

The question is how long I age it. Recommended is 3-6 months, which is a pretty big disparity from what I understand.

Honestly, there are parts of my body that are great, others that need work. I like me, I like who I am. I am comfortable with the woman I am. I do the best I can with life. That is just who I am. :)

Start doing some 'taste tests.' The smaller the barrel the faster the aging. Two months in a 2 liter barrel is equivalent to 7 years in a 55 gal. barrel.

There is an old lady haunting my mirror. I never see me, and always she!
