A genius who doesn't care anything but science just falls in love with an ordinary waitress working at the coffee shop near his house.
OR a bit gruesome, a psychopath with genius brain falls in love with his victim.

I handled a similar theme in Right Under His Eyes. The obsessed scientist should have been paying attention. In this case, she's a high-school sweetheart, not a newfound waitress, but they're definitely at different mental and moral levels. Not a happy ending (and the ending inspired the story).

What I see in your idea is a basic boy-meets-girl setup. What then? The usual sequence would be boy-loses-girl and then boy-regains-girl and on to happy-ever-after, yada yada. But what common ground do these two share? I'm reminded of an idea proposed a few weeks ago of an ultra-high-level super-brainy female exec being romanced by an 'ordinary' guy. What would be their basis? What could they talk about? We'd have to push the opposites attract button pretty hard. Would it work for a stroker? Sure; disbelief can be suspended if the sex is hot.

Just a note, isn't "Science devotee falls in love with a random waitress" the main plot of "The Big Bang Theory"? That's quite possibly the least sexy show I've ever got completely addicted to and watched every episode of...

You might get me wrong on that. This story doesn't aim at sex. The thing I want to know is all about the way genius people show their love to original ones. I may think talented people are somehow very clumsy in the way they express their emotions. As I see it's commonplace that normal people always try to act like they are actually smart.. But I haven't known anyone who is truely a gifted tries to be normal, loves in normal ways ,fucks in normal ways. So just it.

Again, watch The Big Bang Theory, it has like, a whole 3 skipped out, implied sex scenes, none of which involve the autistic guy :D
