Anybody else stumbled onto this?

By this, I mean www.sexstoryonline.com . An author friend of mine mentioned it. It seems to be a clone of Literotica (with spam, popups and possible malware lurking behind every click). I mean, it has it's own story site, forums (where all of us seem to be present).

Any clues?

Just mousing over the links, some take you back to lit; some to the sexstory website. Perhaps Laurel or Manu should be notified?

They've wised up a little -- I'll give them that.

The site is using some sort of tech that prevents certain kinds of online tools ( such as "who hosts this" sites ) from even detecting that it exists.

The host appears to be in Serbia. If the "who hosts this" sites could pick it up, it would be a matter of hitting the host's website, clicking the abuse link, and reporting it. A lot of even the shady hosts would take this down instantly, since it's a carbon copy.

Which is what has probably happened umpteen times to whoever is running the site. This URL has only been live since Feb. 14th, and it follows the site naming pattern of a story copying jackass who has been around as long as I've been posting on Lit.

That domain name has been around forever. Where it lives changes every time DMCA's are sent to the ISP the guy uses. This is some Chinese guy who seems to make his money on the adds and popups. He may have started with the malware to keep us authors away from his site.

The first time he was around, his ISP was in California...they shut him down when a bunch of us sent the DMCA takedown notices. He moved the site to a Hong Kong ISP. Where it lives now...who knows.

There is an old copy of this in some thread about the site that has the guys name in it...although it's probably fake.
