Add some 100mph tape, 550 chord and it'd be quite similar to mine.

Add batteries, 3 tubes of lip gloss, tweezers, eye glasses repair kit and some scissors and you'd have mine.

I listed scissors, ya dope. Two pair in fact and batteries reside there, too. NEW batteries, even! Tossed out the old ones last week. :)

Toss in a mini butane torch used for lighting my smoker (no wimpy lighter will do) and a couple of spare dog leashes and you have a pretty good representation of our junk drawer.

Well shit, I got distracted trying to identify the various tools.

You know how I love tools.

Let's see:
  • A box of tic tacs
  • Spare post-it notepads
  • Keys to the server room and servers
  • About $3.00 in change
  • A small bottle of pure Stevia (for coffee)
  • A dozen paperclips
  • Two pens
  • A 64gb jump drive
  • A stack of contractor business cards, rubber banded

I have 3 junk drawers and they are full of stuff that I simply cannot do without. Pens, paperclips, scissors and various knick-knacks that I have collected over the years. My incense burners and incense are there too. No tools, they are in my manly tool box.

Mine are not organized like yours. :(

and I got junk in the trunk too, fyi.

I don't have one at work because we have these stupid modern desks without drawers, which means everyone's shit is cluttered on top of their desk, but at home, mine looks like yours, but because I have kids, shit is way less disorganized. We ran out of AA batteries this week and it was as if the fucking world was coming apart because the god damn xbox controllers had gone dead, so the kids wound up pirating all the remotes in the house so they could battle through building something huge in Minecraft and now all my tv remotes are fully useless.

Various pens some working, batteries, some may work. note pads, hole punch, elastic bands, string, scissors, drawing pins, a hammer, tape measure, set of darts, blue tac, and some sort of gunk that may or may not have been sweets

Grocery coupons, old cell phones with chargers, batteries and a flashlight.

2 black ink pens
3 blue ink pens
1 red ink pen
1 Sharpie
scissors
17 lens cleaning wipes
8 paper clips
1 SD card
2 box cutters
tape measure
Post It pad
1 envelope
index cards
1 AAA battery
letter opener
stamps
tape
stapler and staples
a random set of keys
USB cords
Xacto knife set
a spider ring (must belong to Peanut)

A junk drawer? A single junk drawer?

I have the junk room, the garage, the loft and several junk drawers in other rooms.

I know where everything is. My wife knows where all her junk is. When we die, our children will ask:

"Why did they keep THAT?"

Don't start that.
I come from a family of don't throw that out, never know when you will need it.

I have emptied houses of both my father and father in law when they passed away.

Work rooms and garages...toss that, toss that..oohkeep that, don't have one, keep that..have a couple but they wear out...washers..can't throw out washers...1" and up sockets, 3/4 drive..I don't have a set6 of them...do now...squares of every type out the ying yang...levels, hammers, fuck do I have hammers...old door knobs...broken watchamacallits.....look, just load it and put it in my garage...I'll sort it out one of these days

You keep pens in your junk drawer? I have a designated drawer for pens, pencils, erasers, scissors and styluses.

The junk drawer has junk in it. Random rubber bands, note pads, hand warmers, paper clips, old camera, calculator, tacks, health check book, and at least 15 mini flashlights.

Last week I bought a job lot of tools at our local auction. What I wanted was the small quality set of Whitworth sockets. I bid £3 plus 30 pence Buyer's Premium (think less than 5 US Dollars), but the two previous lots of tools hadn't sold, so the auctioneer added them to the lot I bid on.

I already had several hammers. I now have twelve more, and five hacksaw frames with blades, about twenty battered screwdrivers, some flat and round files, odd spanners one of which might be for a Ford Model T...

I get that. My dad hasn't used his level in 2 decades yet made sure to tell me to hurry up and bring it back when I was done with it.

where do you keep the welfare stubs?

the praise to the great cuckold obaNa, posters?

Those are in the to be shredded bin with your shitty erotic writing. Your garbage makes 50 Shades of Grey interesting.

Only one level? I have the foot long ones in wood and metal, and the metre and two metre ones in wood. Oh, yes, and a tiny level built into the set square...

Just borrowed the footer. He has a yard one which I'm sure he has no idea where it's at.

All the tools that remain from sets that the rest vanished or were borrowed, a couple of decks of cards, random screws and nuts and bolts a shit load of pens, and every form of tape known to man.

The wife keeps the batteries in the night stand drawer....for some strange reason...

Top drawer:

Lots of labels, pins, glue, post-it notes and tiny electronics, like calculators and flashlights that none of the batteries work in. That peach little purse-bag is full of papercliips of all colors and sizes.

Second drawer:

Comic drawing kit. Scissors, rulers, tape, shit ton of sharpies and highlighters, exacto-blade set and different sized ink pens for inking a comic page. Back when I used to do that.

Third drawer:

Three, count 'em, three different sets of markers. The bulk of them came in that "set on your desk and look pretty" bullshit plastic container with holes in it to hold them(top most ones are crayola or roseart, pilfered from younger siblings). Thing was, anytime I wanted to color with markers, it was never at a desk and that plastic cover doesn't hold up being carted to different locations very well. So, I said, "fuck it; yas going into a bag." Also full of watercolor sets when I used to do backgrounds and coloring by hand.

Way too much crap that I might need one day but doubt that I will.
