I refer to this photo, and similar ones, as "Man in camera". They are photos I have taken of myself in a mirror.

This latest iteration has two changes. First the bringing into focus. Notice the hand movement as I "focus". Second, the pop-up lamp and then the flash along with the shutter action. Too much fun.

I think this new version is harsher, and make my hand look more rugged. I think I have good hands and this may be one of the best photos I have.

Thank you. The original photo was taken over a year ago for a Paired-Pic with Talikat and StackeyDreams titled Casual in White Shirt & Jeans. The newer version some say looks like a painting. Others say it looks more grundgy. Either way, I like the effect.

It does exaggerate the tones, and the details (amount of hair). But I think it is a cool version of the photo.
