Maybe, but Moshe Kahlon broke away in part out of frustration with Netanyahu to form Kulanu, which focused on pocketbook issues. Kahlon leans to the right but has issues with Netanyahu.

His support is not guaranteed for Likud. As you said, he split from them and formed his own party over disagreements with their agenda.

His ten seats could put either party over the top for a majority. He is in essence, about to play kingmaker. Does he dislike Netanyahu enough to throw his support behind Hertzog? It's unknown, yet.

So how many seats did the Likud lose, one?

Wrong question. The real question is how many seats did hard line conservative parties lose overall?
Likud lost one seat.
Likud's former coalition partners also lost ground:
The Jewish Home lost 4 of it's 12 seats
Yesh Atid lost 8 of it's 19
Their other ally, Hatnuah is now part of the Zionist Union so all of their 6 seats are lost to the old coalition.

On top of that Kulanu (led by a former Likud party member) pulled 10 seats

So Likud's 2014 coalition lost a combined total of 19 seats. An additional 10 are up in the air.

Numbers don't lie.

His coalition has lost 19 seats they held before the election, 29 if Kulanu backs someone else. Which is more than possible considering they felt strongly enough to leave Likud and form their own party.

They held 68 seats, now the coalition holds only 49 IF they can manage to keep Kulanu with them. If Kulanu supports someone else then Netanyahu's coalition is looking at retaining only 39 seats of the 61 they need for a majority.

If Likud loses it's majority and Zionist Union takes it?

The Zionist Union has its position firmly within the Israeli peace camp, the party pledged to "reignite a process with our Palestinian neighbors based on a regional platform, and foster our unique and special relationship with Washington" The party also pledged "to rescue Israel from its international isolation [by] restor[ing] relations with the US and Europe, and uniting the world in its war against terrorism and aggression" The rest of their platform concerns economic issues faced by Israelis, which is a huge concern and why they managed to garner so much support.

Those economic stances are what may draw Kulanu into a coalition. Common goals, as they are concerned with the plight of Israel's middle class, Kahlon has in more recent times suggested support for territorial compromise for a two-state solution. He has said he is "a product of the Likud" but that his "worldview is center, slightly leaning to the right." While campaigning in 2015, he would not say whether the party would endorse Benjamin Netanyahu or Isaac Herzog for prime minister, although Galant, placed second on the Kulanu party's list, suggested it would prefer Herzog.

It could be night and day.
