I'm not sure what's wrong with those that believe in socialism. Are they retarded, mentally defective or just lazy?

clearly, any form of government breeds corruption (just look at New York and New Jersey, obama, the clintons) so how can people have this fantasy that total government control is a good thing?

I'm going to say that those who believe in socialism are Lazy retards

Idealists. I am not big into politics anymore. I feel that both sides of the aisle are fucked up, though I believe one is slightly more fucked than the other.

I have also found that, in most cases, it isn't a severe mental deficiency that causes a person to believe a view so polar opposite than mine. I truly think that it is a case of someone just having completely different ideals on the way a government should function or what the role of government should be for people.

For me, I have an extremely libertarian view of politics. I'm huge on personal responsibility and that the government's intrusion in our lives should be limited both socially and financially. However, I talk to numerous people who believe differently than I do that have completely different philosophies on government. They aren't bad people for it. They just think that the government can do a better job of things than I think they can do.

But this probably is too logical and all.

Socialism is a form of delusion or magical thinking, so its a mental illness for the peons, and criminal behavior for the Clintons and Bush's and Kennedy's. Its a pot luck banquet for Democrat foxes and chickens.

Yes, all of the above!

Freedom requires thought rather than emotion, introspect rather than love of self.

If you seek Greatness, find something greater than yourself and dedicate your life to it.

For me that is God and Country.

46,000,000 out of 318,000,000 need help just to feed themselves?
That is a shocking statistic!
The 'land of opportunity' isn't, it seems.

Well, when programs are set up in such a way that it is beneficial to refrain from working and easier to accept assistance, then you will have 46,000,000 people receiving help. Do not mistake receiving assistance with need. There are certainly those in need and that's why the programs exist. However, far too many people take advantage of programs that are designed in a manner that promotes government dependence. For capable, able bodied individuals, these programs should strictly be mostly temporary.

Ok, let's say 10% abuse the system.
Are there 4.5 million jobs available so they don't?

It's all fixable, it wouldn't event take that long to gut the system, which is the point, maybe someone(s) don't want to fix it since 'they' have 'power'.

Just saying.

not only is it robbing Peter to pay Paul, we have to remember that 90% of those in government are mentally unfit to have real jobs. Secondly, there is no incentive for those in government to do things better, faster, and for less money.

asshats in government get rewarded for spending more, like Bill Clinton in a whore house cigars and coke (and those blue pills for men)

You think an imaginary deity is greater than yourself?

You dun goofed!

At least you can prove that your country is greater than you mathematically, I suppose.

Bold Claim. Drug addicts... maybe.
