I find the thread's existence interesting. I don't know histories of the players and commentators, I don't really know you other than reading posts and the odd pretty minor skirmish.

I recognize that some have called me some version of dram queen for starting this thread or that about a specific personality or two, but this one seems out of character for my general impression of you.

Maybe it isn't and my impression is just off.

The tone and delivery is bemused, not so much butt-hurt or jealous. Still, without actually following along, if I had to summarize it for an alien from the planet zoltar, the alien would say, "So he wishes it was him?"

Like I said, the dynamic that would spawn such a thread is interesting.

I think Sean has mellowed. Years ago he was piss and fire. Today he is a comfy pair of slippers.

I still think Sean is an asshole, but yeah I see him as a more interesting person. No one sees ever facet of anyone else and it always interests me to find something likable about an asshole. Not in a "we are the world" moment, just because I think, "Huh, why doesn't the asshole show more of that."

I had such feedback offered me here once upon a time but what I am sure is a stunning nubile. She had approached me, seemed to appreciate some parts of my character. This was about the time I allowed the asshole side to show when I chased Drinkz into the GB because I knew you guys would keep him occupied.

She seems a pretty low conflict sort of girl and found that unattractive. She would have liked to see more of the over-share version of me, then the more pugilistic side.

I still think about her and the advice, but she has, I'm sure, fixed an impression and there is no un-ringing some bells.

It's not so much that it's nobody's business because frankly, we all leave ourselves open to ridicule when opeining up our lives on Lit. In my eyes it's more a question of who cares enough to make a poll about it unless (a) they are trying to instigate trouble, or (b) there is some kind of rejection or jealousy fueling the original post. Like most nasty, hateful posts, I suspect (b) is behind the energy that someone puts into posting mean spirited threads to begin with.

I could very well be wrong but that's just how I interpret it.
